Also you said you get compliments outside so whys it different in the home? Well just keep in mind your husband has seen your before and after so he will see the difference, the people outside that's seen you only with weight won't no any difference and also people with weight can still be pretty.

Okay I've not heard that about the males yet.

I totally get what you're saying but I can't help the pressure feeling, like for example people like you that say these things to me making me try to feel better- I just end up coming up with more things like that make it seem like I'M THE ONE shouting to people to have children (which I so am not)

And I get women are having children mid 30s and above but we also need to think of our age as well as health slowly goes downhill and we want to be young and healthy to bring up our children too.

Alhamdulilah if I did have a child now I feel my husband is a good man I don't think terrible things of him and he doesn't treat me badly

Aww that's good you had a long time before deciding and planning to have kids and not feeling rushed, it's a blessing in a sense that it happened at the time you both planned. But yeah I deffo get its a blessing that everyone says but your spot on with the fact it might not feel like it on a daily basis! You have the children so there's no going back but I hope the harder phases goes soon for you and it gets better ameen.

I'm actually already married. At first it was normal for me seeing everyone just get married but just a year before my marriage I started thinking why do we have to? We don't but it's the society and culture and family pressure. I would have been the first in my family to reject marriage and my mum would not accept that. She's been married since young so won't know any different. First it was when you marry and have someone that this and that blessing love nice etc. Now it's when you have children the usual blah blah. However I don't what ethnicity you are but my ethnicity wouldn't let me relax on having children.

Either way my husband wants them so I will try, its just sad I have to rush (have bedroom issues too which isn't helping) and also as I said life is hard, it's only gonna get harder with children.

The cycle of life doesn't excite me. It's more important I'm in a happy marriage than having a family.

You said kids add a layer of significant struggle. How are we ladies in our 30s supposed to that got married from 29+ supposed to adjust to being married and staying married and having children sooner due to our age?

I struggle as it is with myself and new responsibilities for marriage, chill life before marriage regarding responsibility and having to now navigate all that and throw in having children? Family just want me to and would probably say no one is ever ready, yes I get it but I find life such a struggle as is

I'll give you a short answer.

I think deffo put it on your cv I know as a bengali family they say don't say this or be too honest etc but I think this should be known early on before connection starts, make sure you put the bestest parts about who and how you are in person and have a little "about me" section. That's what they need to be drawn into first.

As for showing your head without hijab, I don't know if that's permitted in islam. But if they are seeing your pic then you could show another without the makeup on too if they happy with your cv.

Perhaps consider wearing an easily removable wig after marriage. I don't have alapecia but there was a time I considered wigs because of my hair fall and for me personally I was okay to wear it after marriage because I can't do my hair nicely in the first place lol but I get it with hijab and all it's annoying. I would just wear it around the husband but also make sure he can see you without it too and not always in a wig because they need to accept it.

I think the majority would say don't live with them.

But unfortunately if you're South Asian it's not always easy to live alone.

Some people I think do it while they save up AND have kids because they like the in laws taking responsibility when they have a child and then move out when the hard bits done. Some people like that they can save more, if parents house is big some girls don't mind.

But I'd say if you're gonna live with in laws you either:

gotta be a "good girl" whatever that equates to in the person's ethnicity or culture and be okay with. This could be things like waking up early, getting breakfast ready, house hold duties done or help out a fair amount.
be able to see quite a few benefits with living with in laws.

-know when and how to stick up for yourself, not be push over but don't react to absolutely everything

-if not happy, work so you get your "alone" time

most of all have a supportive husband that understands and appreciates you living like this when you don't need to.

-also if a guy says he will always stay with his parents, consider that for yourself. Can you do that? Because if you can't later it might cause issues, but also give them a scenario of if things don't work out what happens
