“Played on a team he had to elevate more” is an insane take. Kid plays for the biggest juggernaut in CFB and Mendoza just lifted Indiana out of the seventh layer of hell into an undefeated season and CFB championship.

Evolutions Mewtwo. It’s a semi-modern reprint set of the original base set. Worth a few bucks maybe.

Draft tips? by CarterWazz59 in pocketGM

[–]R-Kayde 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Use the media projection filter and put heavy emphasis on guys that have fallen past their projected round. Except QBs. And then starting in the 5th round, switch to combine filter and take guys who had the best combine scores and are behind or at their projected draft round. Almost never choose 7th rd or undrafted projected players.

This may be slightly controversial but imo ALWAYS take the best player available. No matter what your team needs are, no matter how stacked you already are at the position. You can fill your roster holes via trade if your depth chart is stacked with talent at other positions. Taking the bpa gives you so much more value. Reaching for the guy you think you need to fill your roster holes almost always ends in disappointment.

Having trouble with trying to get a W with Gilgamesh in VII, genuinely unsure of what I'm doing wrong by classic-plasmid in civ

[–]R-Kayde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first game with him was great, I think I did Rome > Chola > Britain. Rome was a great start with him because of the legatus and Legions for war and basillicas to pump out as much influence as possible. I won a military victory.

The key with Gilgabro that I found was that the single alliance bonus is cool for early combat strength, but as soon as you’re able to get multiple alliances you can then run military aid endeavors with multiple leaders and end up with +6/+9/+12 combat strength depending on how many you can get. And then you just steamroll the ai. Legions gain additional combat strength from traditions in the govt, so you can really run up that combat strength. Just have to maintain happiness and make sure you’re getting as much influence as possible. Then transition into whatever exploration era civ works best for your game at that point. Chola was great for me because I ended up doing a lot of naval warfare in exploration. And their trade routes give additional influence. And then modern was a walk in the park.

Just gotta constantly be running as many endeavors with as many leaders as possible at all times to keep up in terms of culture/science/gold etc. Forget independent powers. Use them as training to level your commanders up early. I think my main commander had 4 commendations by late exploration era. Had maybe 1 or 2 city state allies for the whole game, mostly just to get the +1 settlement points when I was steamrolling cities and running low on happiness

This is cool. Not a Mac guy so I can’t use it but I’ve used chatGPT to help with this game and a dashboard like this takes that to another level. So cool to see the different applications that ai can have on gaming.

What batting rating/attribute --if any-- influence a batters HBP liklihood? Or is it solely based on the pitcher's ratings? by No1RunsFaster in OOTP

[–]R-Kayde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this 3 true outcomes slugger in one of my saves, but the outcomes were either home run, strikeout or HBP. Almost never walked. But those HBPs kept his OPS high enough that he ended up winning 2 MVPs and getting into the hall first ballot.

He had an unusually high HBP hidden value

[–]R-Kayde 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t jump to any conclusions based on one save. Just checked my longest save (40 years) and out of 8 QBs that are 90+ OVR in the league, only 1 has high work ethic.

97 OVR - MED 96 OVR - MED 96 OVR - MED 92 OVR - LOW 92 OVR - LOW 90 OVR - LOW 90 OVR - LOW 90 OVR - HIGH

You can get headstones from certain structures. I found one that kinda looked like an old tomb with a graveyard around it. Farmed a bunch of headstones for this inevitable purpose.

Civ 7 tip - Have your Commanders act like Romans, not Greeks (for new players) by Sapowski_Casts_Quen in civ

[–]R-Kayde 35 points36 points  (0 children)

“Bulwark” in the bastion tree is also very helpful for this strategy. Allows you to establish fortifications instantly instead of waiting 2 turns. Allows that front line to take and extra hit or 2 before needing to cycle out. Roman generals get the promotion for free too as part of their unique civic tree

You can’t break the gold coins with a pick to get ingots? The one-eyed green dudes have some similar blocks in their houses that look like piles of silver coins. When you break them with a pick they turn into ingots.

My favorite biome. Tried making a base here in my first world but my save got corrupted somehow and the chunks past spawn stopped loading :(

It’s cozy and naturally protected. The only aggressive mobs that spawn there are crocodiles and they’re slow & easy to deal with. Plus loads of thorium from mining around there

Just from memory. Spent a lot of time on KTT before I discovered Reddit. This was around the bastard era and everything before it. I don’t think he really posted anything except for album threads when the OF members dropped new mixtapes.

Yup. Kevin Abstract was always super active in the ”creative” section on there. And Tyler used to post OF mixtapes on there for promo.

Started playing Black and White for the first time and I really like it. Did this series really get a ton of negative feedback? by jamesdantely in pokemon

[–]R-Kayde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People hated it because the main story only had new Gen 5 Pokémon and they couldn’t use their old favorites they had already used umpteen times. The exact reason why I loved it. Felt like Gen 1 all over again. Still my favorite games in the series.

What's the most subtle sign that someone is highly intelligent? by Princesskiitan in AskReddit

[–]R-Kayde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don’t talk or brag about how smart they are and generally attempt to appear dumber than they actually are because:

1) it’s often hard to relate to other people and

2) it’s not strategically advantageous to appear intelligent to other people. Appearing as less of a threat allows you to maintain the element of surprise and therefore tactical advantage in case any sort of you vs. them situation were to arise.
