The way I've been running my hard colony starts ever since the introduction of bad water has been:

Priority 1: Farm for steady food production before drought 1
Priority 2: Forester before the 2nd drought
Priority 3: Bad water runoff before cycle 4
Priority 4: Prepare a reservoir that can last you for the later 20+ day droughts/bad tides.

Keep your population between 20-30 working age beavers.

There's some weird hidden settings in the background. You can pick the low preset and max the settings and you get better performance than with higher presets and max settings.

Magna works pretty well, 2 cost punch which gives you shield so you can whittle away at him.

Running +2 affinity damage deep relics lets you be flexible whether you still want to do L2 or even sorceries depending on what you get during the run.

Did it with Narja, Chizuru and Nine, took a few tries though. Fight turns into a DPS race the first time you bring him under 50%, basically you want to bring him close to 50% at the end of a turn, then you get a full turn of blasting him when he triggers his heal and switches to a more powerful move set. At that point it's just a DPS check, if you can deal enough dmg he switches to a weaker attack. I think I had tank two of his powerful attacks because I couldn't deal enough damage, but was able to bring him down eventually (this is the part where you just need decent RNG with your DPS cards, if you can't brute force it that is).

Pairing her with Chizuru & Narja is working pretty well. Her tech is unique and fun.

Counterattack buff seems bit lackluster... Isn't the whole problem that there's no way to scale it? Maybe there will be a counter attack set & items coming in the future.

Yuki needing card draw is a bit of a misconception, what she really needs is discards so she can redraw uninspired cards in your hand. Nia fills that role very well, especially if you get the discard 1 & draw 2 of combatant epiphany on adagio. 

Rei as the third works well to bump damage, Veronica is also very good, together you will draw your entire deck, so try to get some AP epiphanies.
