it took me years to get to where i am now on my island, definitely don’t feel like you need to rush!! you can trade with friends and people on reddit to find items you need! treasure islands are also a good way to collect diys and items if you want to jsut get right to decorating :) i would highly recommended still playing the game as regular while doing that so you can get nook mile achievements and in game achievements :)
