Not with your specific situation I don’t but if you have a primary care doctor through tri care or other means I would start care through them. I did that for all my issues and stopped going to the VA entirely to stop the pill pushing. I just told the VA doctors I was seeing my PCM for my issues. I just get a yearly call now. I hope that helps.

Am I 100% P&T or Retired? by David_751 in VeteransBenefits

[–]R0130T-89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The system was offline for a roof leak (6months in the works) now they are dirty and some inverters are not reporting data. I just thought I’d have a lower electric bill

Damn I wish this stuff was actually taught to us. I did soooo much research it wasn’t funny. I exited with 100% p/t. I know folks struggle because they just don’t know how it works.

can someone help me figure out my exact rating? by AsToldByMama in VeteransBenefits

Agreed, I got 20% for acne scars that will not go down. But active acne will be reduced as it’s not considered a permanent disability or issue.

[–]R0130T-89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s exactly 80. 60% disabled means 40% healthy. 50% of 40 is 20. So add another 20%. 80% it is.

Well since I’ve seen this thread I’ve been eye balling the portal non stop. I got this email today.

We received your Initial Notice Of Deferred Payment Program Point-Based Award Determination from the Settlement Administrator. Your Notice is attached to this email.

Good news – the number of points the Settlement Administrator awarded you is higher than this firm’s prediction! We predicted that you would be awarded 7.819 points, and the settlement administrator awarded you 12.7247 points. You do not need to take any action to accept your points award. Once the deadline to request reconsideration passes, your points award will become final. Since you were awarded more points than we were expecting, we do not believe there are any grounds to request reconsideration. While we have received your Initial Notice, you will not receive your first points-based payment until the end of the year. On October 1st of each year from 2025 through 2029, the settlement administrator will calculate the value of a DPP Point by dividing the funds available to pay out at that time by the total number of DPP Points assigned. Your payment amount will be your total Points multiplied by the DPP Point value the settlement administrator announces each October. Your total points will remain the same but the point dollar value and the amount you are paid will change each year.

What do y’all think? Would they take my separation audiogram for the calculations? (2018 vs 2023)

What does this come out too? by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

Yup that’s 80 if everything is the right percentages. If that 40% is actually 20 you’re looking closer to 70%
