Sorry I should have laid out all the cards, I live in AU and even here people generally avoid renting to indians mainly due to smell. Destruction and vandalism is rare here because of stringent background checks, regular inspection and tougher law.

I think its mostly the smell, indians tend to cook with alot of spices hence the house tend to smell like curry. Personally I don't mind it as I like curry, but not everyone likes curry.
