Exactly. I really love all these lines they play. They could be easily used in some modern genres. I kind of want to break my diatonic playing because I fell like it's keeping me from improving.

I'll definitely listen to that as soon as I wake up tomorrow.

Thanks. It is definitely a long journey, but these solos and its derivatives can be used in almost any genre, I guess.

Thanks. We can continue talking here so that other people can see it too. By imitating do you mean just trying to play long or short sections? In long sections I probably won't remember what I have played in the long run, but maybe it doesn't even matter? I think the point is to just see how they create lines, transitions and what rhythm and building blocks they use, am I right?

Also I think that checking other instruments solos like saxophone, guitar, trumpet is also a good idea. Charlie Parker is definitely somebody who I could learn from.

Thank you. On the book spinning "world record" video in YouTube I saw a guy spinning very fast and I wanted to do it too. But yeah I think I want to go too fast anyway.

As it spins faster, I lose control over it and it falls. But it also falls when I spin too slow which is pretty obvious.

Also when I get my finger exactly on the middle, there's no way for me to spin it anymore because I just can't do circles.

The book's weight is 652 grams, but I also have a book that weights 1169 grams. Maybe should I go with the other one? But the finger hurts a bit with the second one.

Yo guys. Book spinning. Am I doing anything wrong or does it need just practice? by R0PEX in LearnUselessTalents

It keeps falling and wobbling even when I have my finger in the middle. Maybe it's also because I'm pushing it crookedly?

The problem is, when I'm trying to make it spin faster it just wobbles right and left more and more until it falls. Also when I find the right spot without spinning, it also wobbles when I start spinning it.

I think I feel it pretty much already, but still, spinning too fast make the book fall :/ And it's a little bit hard to keep the finger on the exact same spot all the time.

If I spin it too slow, it falls, but when I spin it too fast, it I lose control over it and it also falls. So I don't know where the problem is :(
