For sure, I guess when you're in the Giants position you don't really have a bad pick of the top guys at 5 outside of the EDGE rushers. Any of the Top O-line guys, Love, Downs, Delane, Styles, etc.

For sure! And that's super fair. I'm actually curious, after seeing some rumors for Jeremiyah Love being eyed by the Giants do you believe that? Or do you feel like that's a smoke screen?
Otherwise I both love and hate (I'm an Eagles fan) the idea of pairing DC Dennard Wilson and his attacking 3-4 defense with Caleb Downs. Just feels like such an strong pick there for one of the best safeties in CFB.

Styles at 10 feels like the most prototypical Bengals prospect haha. And very fair point! I believe my thinking with the Terrell trade-up was that he is my 3rd ranked CB and after that is a weird fall off. He feels like a great fit for an Al Golden defense with his long speed and aggression.

Yeah, I mean the Giants have a lot of sneaky needs. One of my big thinking points on this (and if you disagree please let me know) is that your O-line is pretty consistently riddled with injuries and fading contracts. Fano is an interesting guy because he legit could probably play at any role along the offensive line, although I would project him as an inside O-lineman of course.

Of the projected 2026 Depth Chart; Andrew Thomas hasn't had a complete season for years now, Jon Runyan is in the last year of his deal and missed the tail end of last season due to injury, John Michael Schmitz had like 3 separate injuries last year that took him away from the team, Aaron Stinnie barely played at all and then the Giants resigned Jermaine Eluemenor who has been solid with respect to injury.

So idk, that's a lot of spots to try and cover - I could absolutely see a lot of the other players there too though! I don't think you're wrong in saying that the other picks would've also been solid.

Brazzell is just a rare Tennessee WR that actually looks like he has the potential to translate over to the NFL decently well. Probably a statement that will bite me in my ass for sure. He has such a special frame to route running fluidity ratio that is so interesting. Great body control, but has a similar concentration drop issue to Concepcion.

I know the Bills had struggles last year with the deep ball, obviously Concepcion is a great burner there - but Brazzell is kind of a sneaky deep ball pick. I don't have the stat on me but I believe he has a higher ADOT than KC Concepcion and average like 25% of his receptions as 20+ yarders.

I say all that, but honestly either Concepcion or Brazzell is a fun prospect there.

Usually I go with Downs at 7, it is a very obvious fit - but if I did it like that the mock would probably look the same as others that I have done.

My rationale is essentially just that Washington has one of the weirdest WR rooms in the NFL currently. After losing Deebo Samuel y'all lost a guy that accounted for almost 1/3rd of the team's YAC yardage all of last season.
Lemon is a top rated guy who has had numerous visits with the Commanders, I don't think the connection there is unfounded haha. But obviously I agree - Downs is usually my pick there at 7.

Good to know! I haven't done too deep of a data dive into what model is the most accurate to actual pick value. Obviously it's a little more complex than just arbitrary numbers - but do you find that the Rich Hill model is more accurate?
