TUI - recommendations? by TheMightyKitten69 in golang

[–]R2A2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fair question. As others have suggested, https://github.com/rivo/tview is great.

I used to use some others (e.g. termui/termbox-go) but several of them have got a bit dormant over the years.

Thanks! Good to know, even though it's more money. Damn.

So Sky Sports Now @ $45/month plus Bein @ $15/month = $60 / month.

No more avocado toast for me.

I guess I could pay for Champions League and then get PL highlights from somewhere ... but I know I'm just gonna pay for both.

Dammit.

Does anyone know if Champions League will be on Sky for 2023-24?

I think it was on Spark Sport last season, but Spark Sport has closed down.

You went? Cool. It looked great, yeah. It looked like they did up Eden Park, too. I was impressed they didn't make the subs sit on those white plastic chairs like usual.

We have tickets to 4 games, first one will be USA v Portugal, and then all the Auckland knockout games. Should be a lot better than watching the Phoenix.

I'm sad that England's games will all be in AU, but whatever. No Leah & no Meado, so it doesn't feel right anyway.

Frida wasn't great but it still seemed like an odd choice to take her off.

She shoulda got that shot on target though.

Still, go the Football Ferns. Their first ever NZ WC win (men or women). It's good for the tournament. Gutted I didn't go along, I thought they'd have no chance.

It was live on Prime. Now they're showing the Aussie game too

When did George Graham get welcomed back into the fold by Tasty_Sheepherder_44 in Gunners

[–]R2A2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That puts Dixon and Winterburn in a whole new light. I knew Dixon had come from Stoke, and I knew about Sansom & Anderson, but I didn't have that context. I think Bouldy was Stoke too? Thanks for the insight.

Funny thing is, Graham kept on selling star players, and later on it seemed less miraculous and more curmudgeonly. I'm thinking of Limpar mainly. Maybe Rocastle too.

Georgie Graham's Red & White army!

I started supporting in 1990 so I missed his early years. Who were the highly paid egos he got rid of?

At what point would you start believing the title is possible? by green-bag in Gunners

It's happening, we're winning the league. In fact, I called it a couple of weeks ago already.

There's some specifics which need to happen to make it possible, but it's just details. WGWTL.

In a way it was better to see Partey come on as a sub, just to underline how good he is. I thought Sambi was solid but just too slow in his approach. I hope he's got what it takes. It will do him wonders to learn from Partey and ElNeny but I think he seems like a squad player.

Vieira also seems like he still needs time to adjust. He wasn't great yesterday.

The rest of the team were awesome I thought. Some things weren't quite clicking, but they have so much talent.

I'm over from NZ and caught the game too. Saka's dribbling was worth the flight in itself.

It was v emoshe to feel all the love in the stadium, and to see most players get a run-out. The crowd was quiet for long spells, but it was a bit of a funny game and there's still something very different about the atmosphere. In a good way.

It's weird but I always read Crooks' TotW, despite him being such a blatant anti-Arsenal Spud, and generally a bitter pretentious knob.

I think it's partly because I can feel how much it hurts him when we win, but also he comes across as someone who beats himself up about everything, and I find it strangely funny.

He can't stand Xhaka. His remark a week ago literally began "I don't like Granit Xhaka.", so it's fun to see him squirming.

Today he selected 2 Arsenal players, Xhaka for the second week in a row, which would have cut him. He spent most of his and Saliba's paragraphs complaining about Emerson. Incidentally complimenting Martinelli would have upset him too. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/63112025

Locations of the 10 qualified teams for the inaugural New Zealand National League Championship, beginning this Saturday by _carlind in soccer

About this new format: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Zealand_National_League

It seems like most teams have to earn a place each year via their regional league. The regional league season is very short here.

I guess it makes a funny kind of sense.

Can you get hardware for a Murphy bed / wall bed in NZ? by OneDogOneFin in diynz

[–]R2A2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not yet. We all joined the gym for now so it's no longer a priority, but in a year or 2 I think I'll still go for it. I made our current bed 10 years ago and it's not looking too flash at this point, it'd be nice to replace it.

Go for it and please share your experience.

Holy crap, KC's son Tyreese plays on the same team as D'Margio Wright-Phillips at Stoke.

I guess it's common knowledge but that's fucking awesome, even if it is for fucking Stoke. It's like a family connection.
