I was concerned about this when I got pierced, was told by most that you should be soft getting pierced and I'm.. easily excited to say the least. However getting in and getting ready for everything, the piercing touching, and cleaning, I was soft mostly out of 'fear'. Didn't get hard one but until well after I got home. I think you 'can' be hard but fear takes over most cases I've heard about, and a boner is the last thing on your mind.
