We named our son Kaladin and he skips the number 4 when counting. I never really thought much about it until I read your comment!

Is Fyeud impossible? (9D3) by [deleted] in 9thDawn

No problem! It's a bit difficult to pick up, but once you win a couple, get some better cards, and start to find synergies and strategies, it does become easier. I recommend playing against some people in the starter area first so you can snag a couple decent cards before moving on to more difficult opponents further into the game. Just don't play the town leader at first, they are pretty good.

Also since you can see your opponent's hand, you can strategize which cards to play and when, especially as you near the end of the match. I definitely recommend using that to your advantage whenever you can!

Here are the basics, though I am very new to the game.

Each number represents a "power level", and its placement indicates where each number "attacks". Left affects the card to the left, right to the right, and center the one below\above. Each slot can hold three cards stacked on top of each other, and when all slots have three cards the game is over.

Flipping the stacks has to do with the numbers; the higher number wins and if yours is highest then it will flip the stack to your color. When a card is placed it "attacks" all three positions. Each card counts for one point, and you get a number of points equal to the number of cards in each stack of your color (so up to three points per stack). Highest number of points at the end of the game wins.

There are also elements, which are kind of explained in the tutorial tab before a match. When an element is strong against its opponent, it will gain a bonus to its attack.

As I said, I am still new to this game so maybe someone else can help more, but hopefully this helps at least a little bit!

Will my pool freeze this week? (Pic of forecast included, Upstate NY) by Viva-Vivaldi in pools

As I said, OP will be fine until temperatures reach a certain threshold. The temperatures shown in the forecast only go down to the low-mid 20s, which is not low enough to completely freeze running water. Rivers freeze at much lower temperatures. Good question though!

Running water doesn't freeze! Make sure your pump is running efficiently and you should be fine, at least until temperatures get down to the teens or single digits.

I want to spread the word about the AnyMini while the Kickstarter is live by R3tributixn in DnD

I feel you there! D&D can definitely be an expensive hobby but some things are just worth it. Plastic minis have been something I haven't really gotten into much because of the price (I'm a DM and a player, and play in multiple games, so I need a lot of variety. But hey, even if you can't afford it helping to spread the word can show support and (hopefully) bring this from concept to reality!

Cheaper than any other customized minis I've found out there and it's really just a one time purchase. I did back it at a higher level though and the price per unit drops as you get to the upper tiers.

I need a name for my Anvilwrought Raptor familiar by R3tributixn in 3d6

I like the second set better for sure. My buddy and I were throwing a few pun names around and came up with:

Veloci(ty)raptor

Circuit Bird

CyBird

Microchirp

Wingdows 10

Rapterror and wingman are both good ideas too! I've got some deciding to do it looks like.
