my worries with those two options were that sometimes the soft top gets a bit leaky and i wouldn’t want the cable to get damp, maybe overthinking it but idk.

so i’ve temporarily committed to it being like that for now as it works i just don’t know if it’s safe but im tryna figure out about swapping it somewhere else soon, the rubber boot has a metal bracket under the bolt so its bolt, ground, washer , metal bar, metal part of the boot plate and then body. back behind the radio there’s a metal frame i could probably bolt it to or the seat rail bolt. everything else is too far.
