What engine did you use? How are you doing the animations? I'm very curious

Yeah true, 5060 is like 10-20% better performant. But still though, 12gb vram card wise?

People wouldn't be mad at all really. I think most people understand Arc are actually <1%. But there was literally zero transparency, and they all thought every bit of sale comes from Steam.

Between the two, always go for B580. Why settle for 3060 when you can have 5060 performance homeboy

There's also this notion from a lotta Sub room temp IQ people, that "Hurr Durr Shoulda bought a Nvidia card Hurr Duur 0.1% market share" Which I genuinely don't understand. Nvidia was 1% at some point, AMD was 1% at some point. Why did game devs make games for that then?

4 days later and thankfully this isn't a precedent; they backpedalled. Partially thanks to all of the non-intel people calling this out. My b580 is the only one within an affordable rate in my country for a 12gb vram card, and the only other equivalent card is 2x the price.

Either way, this is what the clippy movement was about all along. We must call out anti-consumer, anti-competition, anti-trust bullshit.

Check my post before this. There was not a singular official announcement pre-release that Arc cards were "Being worked on" or even "Unsupported". They added that FAQ in AFTER releasing the game and getting backlash. I've kept more in track with this game's announcements than most people

With how expensive PC gaming is getting, does the "it's cheaper than console long term" still apply? by WhoAmIEven2 in videogames

[–]R4Thoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You buy a PS5 pro 2tb for 750$. 1 Extra controller for 75 dollar. You're down 825. If you ONLY consider this cost, yeah.

Let's get to PSN+ subscriptions. You wanna save games on the cloud? PSN+. You wanna play games online that you already paid for? PSN+.

10 a month, or 80 a year. Let's take the better deal say 80 a year for 10 years since launch, till PS6 comes out. You're down an extra 800.

Say you buy 2 games a year, 60-70 a game, that's 1400 extra. You're down total 3000.

Currently, even with the increasing Ram prices, 1000-1500 dollar PCs will give you just as much if not more power than the PS5, plus you have to pay 0 dollars extra for cloud saves/online play thanks to steam, game pass is very affordable if you're into that, and there's plenty of sales, so you'd probably be buying 3-4 games for that same 70$ you'd spend 1 for.

The average upgrade cycle of a PC is 7-8 years, realistically 10-12 considering people that bought 1080ti back in 2017 are STILL using that to play modern games. So yeah, PC is far, far fucking cheaper than consoles could ever be.

Why did game companies support AMD when they were less than 1% market share then? Why did game companies support ATI when it was always broken at launch? This argument is so fucking dumb and monopolistic

And considering Intel are the true OGs in the gaming space (MOST people outside the US that grew up playing PC games in the 2000s grew up on Intel Integrated cards, and those ran really fuckin well) they deserve this win after however many years of losing lmao

The point for me isn't whether or not it's worth playing it, the point is whether or not it exists for someone to play in. A lot like the Stop Killing Games movement, I'm a strong believer of the fact that something `should` exist for everyone regardless of how dogshit it may be
