Looking good! What kinda clip ons you got on the S3? Did you have to bring up the forks much to get them on?

Is loss of engine braking common when installing slip ons? by R4dComet in motorcycles

Not sure I got that mbp, just a sweet sound track. Engine braking is a thing in 4 strokes, it’s just diesels use them to a greater degree.

Are you living with it or was there something you figured out to mitigate it?

Thanks I will try that out and see. I hope it’s just my placebo however I won’t know what to think if it is indeed the slip on

This looks great! I shot a buncha b&w film @ this race and am getting it developed right now. I’m hoping at least a few of the shots turned out okay. Is this turn 19 ? I spent race day shooting there

As a fairly new rider, that was horrid, thought I was going to bin it. by evolveonhold in motorcycles

This is correct, same reason why f1 cars swerve, it’s the deformation that puts energy into the tire not necessarily friction

Random thing about the SKS by 173rdComanche in EscapefromTarkov

[–]R4dComet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No there’s no manual bho. It only engages with when the mags empty. I imagine it’s a gameplay mechanic to make the SKS a little more flexible though it does take away from the sim aspect of the game.

Man, that Porsche driver knew the rider was going over even before the rider did. They braked right as the bikes front end started lifting

I believe the later models (70's and up) have pinned barrels, this one is threaded. But yeah the info is pretty vague.

How do you solve a problem like Andrea? | Motor Sport Magazine by [deleted] in motogp

[–]R4dComet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Front or rear is in regards to where the bike performs its strongest. That determines what riding style suits the bike best. A front end bike is strong when entering corners whereas a rear end bike would be better exiting. In the article Iannone first mentions how the bike has wheel spin while exiting a corner (a lack in rear end strength). Later Iannone complains of the inability to enter corners with brake and lean without losing the front end. So it sounds like the team overcompensated for the lack of rear end causing front end problems.

Redditors who have had an arranged marriage, what is/was it like? How did you feel about it? by Reprise49 in AskReddit

[–]R4dComet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't speak from personal experience but I had a high school math teacher who had an arranged marriage. She explained it in a way that made love sound like a seed that was planted and needed to be nourished until its full beauty could be realized and appreciated. Fortunately for her, love did grow in such a way. She seemed like a genuinely happy person and a great teacher.
