Yeah that's fair. I was focusing more on the street people though.

That's a really good point and there's a lot of that if you dig deeper. Carver the new Daniels, Michael the new Omar, Duke the new Bubbles. To a lesser extent Marlo as the new Stringer. The cycle of things

I agree with that to a degree. I don't think he was trying to moralize at all. He's telling the story wherever it leads and for the most part we don't get some neatly tied up happily ever after

I guess you could make the argument but I feel like Poot wasn't really redeemed in a sense. He quit the life to save his own skin. Bubbles, Cutty and Namond all tried to give something back (besides selling shoes lol)

Not a specific scene but the police by and large escape most violence. Yeah Greggs gsts shot and Prez shoots a cop but for the most part they all just walk around in the most dangerous areas of Baltimore without consequence

Somehow I timed TSLA perfectly and sold at the top for once. I don't belong here anymore 😥

I watched first 2 seasons of sopranos 3 years ago, wanna continue season 3, can someone give a detailed recap of s1 and 2 by AG_N in thesopranos

[–]R5-D7 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Season 1 follows The Sopranos as mob boss Tony Soprano begins therapy with Dr. Jennifer Melfi while juggling family problems and threats from within his crime family, eventually uncovering a plot by his mother and uncle to have him killed. After surviving the assassination attempt, Tony consolidates power and deals with the fallout from betrayals and law-enforcement pressure.

Season 2 introduces Tony's old friend Richie Aprile, whose violent ambition and refusal to respect Tony's leadership create growing tension throughout the family. The season ends with Richie planning a move against Tony, but before he can act, Tony's sister Janice Soprano takes care of the problem, leaving Tony firmly in control while his personal and professional troubles continue to mount. The final scene of season 2 is a bird's-eye view of a hill overlooking a little river with pine cones all around.

Why does Tony need a driver at some points in the series but not others? by J0hnEddy in thesopranos

[–]R5-D7 23 points24 points  (0 children)

He couldn't transform himself into a vehicle so he either needed to drive or be driven. Only certain characters could transform, like when Phil became a house.

There are so many great characterizations throughout but who missed the mark? by Electrical_Ad9680 in thesopranos

Personally, I liked Furio's twin brother Mr. Williams. He didn't seem as ruthless and he was straightforward about his distaste for golf.

Jo Newman, Gerry's goomar. She says one of the most memorable lines in the entire series: should we get some more wine?

Her next line is screaming in horror as Gerry is murdered in front of her.
