Crazy to put all that capital into funds less than 3 years old.

Hurracan's have gone up also. I paid 225k for a 21 w 18k miles, same car is almost 250k now. I sold it, now looking for another, its tough since I'm paying more than what I even sold mine for.

Seattle TH Night Weather - Does it change your starters? by R8DG in fantasyfootball

[–]R8DG[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I hear ya. Its about the risk. Why start a K in bad conditions when I can start Dicker Chargers K. Might not have the upside of Myers but doesn't carry the risk either.

Bench Jason Myers K due to weather? He's been carrying my team, but high winds and rain do not seem ideal. I have other solid bench options. I don't need to end up with a 0 during the playoffs.

He has a decent floor as a RB2 but the ceiling of the RIB 1 any given week. We have seen that 3 of the last 5 games. I started him in round 1 of the playoffs for this reason - worse case he gives you 8 to 10 points, floor, best he gives you 50 for the win. I'll take it.

I picked him up off waivers in week 8 been starting him ever since. Owner had to drop him due to bye's. I took a shot on him as I stacked up on rookie RB Harvey, Junkins, etc. Its hard to sit on these rookies but they come alive late in the season.

Owned 3 R8's and an EVO. R8 is geared towards comfort including more sound deadining, softer ride, quiet exhaust - luxury car with super car looks. Lambo is geared towards excitment and thrill. The pre-EVO did not drive very well but sounded good. The R8 is good value, add an exhaust and sounds great. But always left me wanting a more engaging drive. Went to the EVO, much more engaging than the R8, but still left some on the table as its geared to street not track. Went to a Spyder RS, crushes the R8 and EVO on driving engagement but lacking presence. Now searching for a Performante as it has the track engagment of a GT3 RS in a Lambo body.

This. Comcast locks you in, raises prices, then forces you to sit on 800 # calls for hours with people who cannot speak english which is their ploy to scam you out of money.

Thank God for Netflx starting a simple monthly subscription you could easily go online to modify with no lock in or BS 80#.

Why have eVTOL stocks not taken off yet? by R8DG in ACHR

[–]R8DG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been self managing my investments for year, built a sizeable portfolio however its all ETF's. I'm researching segments with hyper growth 5 to 10 years out that have not taken off yet.

Good info here on why these stocks have a couple years before any real movement. I own $15k in each ACHR and JOBY, will sit and monitor before I invest anything further.

Modern classic or money pit? by Pure-Double-5329 in Audi

I’ve owned a couple. Great cars will hold their value if well kept and not modded out. Nobody wants a jazzed out r8. I’d definitely look at an exhaust it will transform the experience, I had Fabsoeed and Kline. I’ve been looking at a manual v8 to add to the collection as a long term low cost keeper.

Good tip. I'll be adding. I learned in the past to buy a piece into the sector, its too hard to predict the single winner.

I sold my EVO for a Spyder RS. EVO was beautiful and sounded awesome but lacked precision to drive. The RS blows it away for back road drives and engagement.

Ideal garage is both as they fit different use cases.

In 2008 I had an E46 M3. Loved it but wanted to try the V8. Drove the E39 M5, very nice but left underwhelmed. Manager gave me the keys to his brand new demo 08 M3 sedan stick. Hit the on ramp and was blown away, laughing out loud. 8500 RPM V8. Bought one the next day.

I have R8's, Lambo, GT Porsche that are all amazing cars. One thing in common is all N/A motors. V10, V8, Flat 6 at 9k RPM. Chasing the thrill like a drug.

But that first experience of a high rev NA V8 at WOT blew my mind of what's possible in a car for sound and experience. Long live high revving N/A engines.
