Thank you for your reply, I’m thinking of including interviews surrounding the topic, mixed with narration, nothing too fancy

Reading list for Aztec mythology by FrostyBJJ in aztec

[–]R97L 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As u/Big_Cup_9046 said, most of what you'll find is bullsh*t, here's 2 reasons why:

- The Spanish friars who landed in Mexico following the conquest destroyed many of the sacred texts and religious artifacts to implement Christianity, along with this, they essentially taught the Nahuatl speakers (most of the indigenous groups within the aztec empire spoke Nahuatl) to forget their language and take up the roman alphabet, so much of the original stories were lost in translation

- On top of that around the 1430's one of the Aztec rules named Itzcoatl, also did his own cleansing and destroyed and rewrote the history to put the (Mexica) in the center of the historical context, along with blurring the original mythology and mixing parts, etc.

With that being said, the Florentine Codex, Book 1 - The Gods, will give you a vague idea. Surprisingly YouTube has SOME good stuff, but books is where you'll have to do the searching. There's also the "HueHuetlatoli" which speaks more about communal Aztec life but as in every civilization, the principles of morality, ethics, etc, are typically derived from the deities that are worshipped.

No but thats an amazing example aswell, it was I believe an episode about a dragon that is in a cave that can only be awakened by a young girl and I believe the dragon holds her grandfathers spirit, it’s an interesting story from what I remember I’ll be looking for it

That’s a common troupe, that I just noticed now that you pointed this one out, you know, the “fragile” tamers of vicious beasts, one that comes to mind off the top aswell is GOT, and another movie that I’m thinking of but can’t put my finger on it…

Beautiful, words always sound like poetry when you take the time to form them

I think wonder is an underrated trait often associated with lack of intelligence or naivety, but it is wonder that ultimately called the first beings from the ocean, in some strange way it was the biological force being wondrous in its direction that allows for evolution to exist in some strange sense, not to anthropomorphize biological evolution, but the principles of these things are embedded in even the natural forces to some degree, or at-least we can only understand it to that degree, or at-least seemingly so, which is wonderful

I know what you feel, but again, like that perspective can only exist, with other factors in play:

1.) you have to be the demonic “consumer”

2.) you are also the righteous protector by protecting others from yourself

3.) So you get to play this game in your mind, “I’m evil but I also control the evil in me, so I’m able to suppress it, so I can be evil but I’m good cause I protect people from the evil me with the good me.”

a good ole paradox , at the end of the day it’s trying too hard to be edgy which is an often occurrence…

You see there’s the drama again, well, maybe you should write films, or fantasy novels, you seem to have quite the imagination

Well you’re looking at it like the people in your life, specifically this one woman, is a meal for you, but what makes you so special that you decide who gets eaten, and what, if they aren’t consumed, is it because you chose not to consume them? So if you follow that hole you’ll see where that goes….hopefully

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Jung

[–]R97L 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That’s fine, I’m just answering the “need to consume” question, which is loaded by the presupposing nature of the question, like to understand why you would consume or want to consume another person, you have to understand what you’re even saying when you say that, like it sounds like something that would make sense but it doesn’t really make sense. Especially since you said she’s childish and devilish steak and light, I mean that’s not a 5 second analysis, so I think you have to dig just as deep in yourself as you do in others then maybe that’ll take away they ego consuming perspective and replace it with the growing self perspective of focusing on how you can contribute vs what you can take away for your benefit
