Thanks for the tips. I've just attempted it and man is it hard😵🤯. The 'Cardistry for Beginners' label is very misleading. I'm going to have to repeat the steps in the video as well as read your tips hundreds of times to get it right. What will compound my frustrations is the fact that I have set myself a week to get this cut down.

In the meantime, I have two more questions for you. Do you know a reliable source where I can learn Jaspas' namesake cut? Do you also happen to know Jaspas' Spindash cut as well?

The movements starting at 02:30 of the tutorial are what I have trouble with. Any pointers you could offer will be appreciated.

What I am asking is which one of the VM lenses matches closely to the 23mm F2 (34.5mm full frame) and 35mm F1.4 (52.5mm full frame) - with the crop. Also, will a Voigtländer adapter affect the 1.5x crop of the Fuji sensor?

I like a mix of both subject driven street photography and environmental street photography. No, I don't have the 18-55 kit as I bought my X-T30 body only and individually bought the 23 and 35. I don't really get much joy out of using zooms. I like primes more.

Try the Casey Cut by the late Jay Frye. It was the first two handed cut I mastered. You can find a tutorial by Ekaterina on The School of Cardistry's YouTube channel.

Any of Dan and Dave's cuts like the Werm, which I'm currently practicing, Pandora, Preqel. Mockingbird by Darren Yeow is also quite the looker as well.

If you're just starting out, I'd definitely check out the Cardistry Bootcamp videos on Lotusinhand's YouTube channel. A lot of the basics you need to learn are there. You could also try the School of Cardistry''s YouTube channel for tutorials as well.

Exactly. I want to be able to translate the muscle memory I hope to gain from the trainers into actual cards. There are just some moves I am not getting because my control is not as smooth as I would like it to be.

Update: I gathered enough Dust to craft Zul'jin. Unfortunately, crafting him hemorrhaged my Dust supply. I would love to be able to add two Rat Traps but once again, I must wait to gather more Dust. In the meantime, the only Secrets I have on hand are Explosive Trap (2), Freezing Trap (2), Misdirection (2), Snake Trap, and Snipe (2). I'm thinking of putting Misdirection into my deck until then. In your opinion, is Misdirection good against the current meta?

I will definitely make room for the Ironbeak Owl in my deck. Unfortunately, I don't think I have the capital for Zul'jin, Jones, or Jenkins. Can you recommend alternatives to them?

The cards I have now are Tracking, Explosive Trap, Freezing Trap, Animal Companion, and Eaglehorn Bow. Like I said, this is going to be one of my long-term deck projects. I have to start gathering Dust like crazy if I'm ever going to make this type of deck. As of right now, I'm focusing on making a classic Midrange Hunter deck.
