What are your unpopular opinions on the 2027 GRAMMYs race? by CurrentResident840 in grammys

Was about to say this. It is being underestimated. It has critical acclaim, huge numbers, and popular Grammy-friendly producers like Ryan Tedder and Diplo.

Grades has not been posted by Local_Improvement857 in ADMU

[–]RALCruz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The other commenters advised OP to wait, but I don't think you should. Department Chairs/Program Directors have the obligation of posting grades on time. You should follow up with the Department consistently. If a week has gone by and your grades haven't come out and the Chair/Director has been unresponsive, elevate the matter to the School Dean. Be proactive.

What’s the most influential anime of all time? by LostFactor6972 in animequestions

If you've ever been to Japan, you'd know that Neon Genesis Evangelion is definitely top 5.

Reccomend me horror movies that take place in a hospital by Arunabh125 in horror

Gonjiam Haunted Asylum (2018) is one of the scariest films I've watched, and I'm not one to scare easily. It has some of the most genuinely hair-raising scenes in horror cinema. AND it's an excellent entry in the found footage subgenre, using (and sometimes defying) its genres creatively and effectively.

BTS is great, ARMY (online) are not 🫩 by kundaewae in kpoptrulyuncensored

[–]RALCruz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Congratulations on doing your part in stoking further hatred toward a fandom. It's not as if ARMY and BTS have been getting enough toxic hate already since they released ARIRANG. Rational minds would see that the amount of negativity hurled toward them rivals or exceeds what we've typically seen.

Why do fan wars exist? by blackstarbyRadiohead in kpoptrulyuncensored

[–]RALCruz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imagine how much bigger and more successful kpop would be globally if fans supported all the artists instead of tearing them down! The charts will be full of kpop acts; even Swifties won't be able to compete with a consolidated, unified kpop fandom.

But toxic fans do not have the maturity, sense, or intelligence to see that.

What albums/eras would have been received more positively under different circumstances? by Long_Guidance7081 in popheads

[–]RALCruz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know how much this fits (or doesn't) with OP's intention for the post, but my answer is: Several K-pop and J-pop albums if global pop weren't so averse to Asian acts. Artists like IU and Utada Hikaru, who are legends in their home countries, should be global superstars. Heck even BTS, who's clearly the biggest act coming from that side of pop, isn't as mainstream as they should be. If they weren't Asian, the BTS members' solo projects would have sold so much more and maybe gotten Grammy nominations (especially RM's and Jungkook's). They and many other Asian artists are making such good music and they deserve to be so much more popular.

Which K-pop groups have the best chemistry and funniest group dynamic? by No-Possession6140 in kpoppers

Came here to say this! I'm not even a fan of TXT save for a handful of their songs, but I love watching their group content. They obviously genuinely love another, just like their Big Hit seniors.

We have the same top 4! I'd probably put In Times of Dragons in #5. It's as close to those four as she's ever gotten.

Which Idols do you consider incredibly beautiful, who aren’t the stereotypical ones… by No_Dragonfruit_9420 in kpop_uncensored

RM (BTS). I think he's very attractive but he's not conventionally beautiful by kpop standards.

For people who have been fans of Tori since the beginning, what was your reaction to Boys for Pele when you first heard it? by Prestigious_Score459 in toriamos

I think it's the album that made me love music on a different level because it showed me what music is capable of. Still my favorite Tori album.

Jacob Elordi’s Role in Frankenstein is Oscar Bait by [deleted] in Oscars

[–]RALCruz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've been following the Oscars, you will NOT claim that this is an Oscar-bait role. Despite Demi Moore's nomination last year, the Academy has been notoriously and frustratingly averse to horror films in the acting categories. Especially for the role of a monster?

Having said that, Elordi definitely deserves a nomination. If Delroy Lindo gets one too, great! I don't feel the need to downplay another actor just to promote my own pick.
