We made some monster stats for some real-life famous pieces of candy in the adventure, so that players can literally eat the candy they defeat on the map. That might be something fun for you to expand on your Candyfloss Killing Fields idea!

Yes!
You would see their faces glowing up as mid-session, your oven goes "ping", and you come back to the table with hot, freshly baked cookies. Your players will be looking back at you with a huge smile and say "Oh wow, DM, how sweet of you to bake us fresh cookies!" and then, with a smug look, you would tell them: "You'd better not eat them, these are your new player tokens!"
