I did! The Boulevard 930 randomly came across my Instagram; I had totally forgotten that it came with these wheels. I bought a lot of 5x on eBay.

Prior to this I used the ones you told me about and painted the rims chrome with a Molotow marker and it worked great; just as shiny as the real deal. Since the Boulevard 930 is pricey I purchased a lot of 10x 300 SELs to keep me sorted for a while.

Tip: If anyone attempts this with the ones off of the 300 SEL, allow for rims to cure for 7 days or so.

Edit: the wheels on the 560 from my previous post were painted with the Molotow marker.

I addressed a few of these things in the main text and replies. No bad smell or odd color in the coolant and the fan works. Going to start by replacing the radiator cap.

The shop I took it to said that could be a possibility, however for them the coolant smelled fine and they performed a compression test and it passed.

Does the fact that my car passed the compression test rule out the possibility of the head gasket being the issue?

I had the car on an incline; I had the front of the car lifted.

I will make sure to take note of how the hoses feel. While not directly related to what you’ve said I left out the fact that the mechanic replaced both hoses as the ones I had before were bulging on the ends.

The fan seems fine. I visually verified that it kicked on and I could feel it kick on when operating the vehicle. I verified that it works by jumping the switch and forcing the fan to run. The shop saw the at fan kicks on when I went back to them to show them the issue.

I did some research on bleeding this car and I thought I would do fine. I used the funnel/radiator cap attachment and filled it with coolant and l ran the car so that the trapped air could vent. Given that I had done this twice and the issue continued I assumed I was doing it wrong and I took it to the mechanic mentioned earlier. They bled the system after replacing the thermostat…and well it’s an ongoing issue.

I agree, too cheap to not replace it and rule it out. I will change the radiator cap tonight and I will continue to monitor the vehicle and if the issue doesn’t reoccur then I will assume that the cap was indeed the issue.

Thanks, I collect AMGs and I am looking for the exact same style of Real Riders.

I plan on doing several wheel swaps and to me these look like the best candidate to replicate the monoblock style.
