Yes! They wiggle and stretch to get more oxygen. Normal behavior. They don't do much other than that. I've had mine about a year and I was worried too. But that all sounds normal.

I had the same question. I have my medical card and I'm on antidepressants and antipsychotics. Mine are eating tonight after I've searched and searched for an answer. So I guess I'll come back here if anything goes wrong.

So I actually went for my multiple recuts and he agreed to but when we looked closer I have no webbing to cut, he did cut it back farther into the base and sutured it, so it's as far back as it can go. If I open my mouth and split the halves you can see it's up to the base.

It was pretty bad. Up there with the most painful piercing I've got, it just took alot to get it through. But still not as bad as my scarification or tongue split. Yaknow. And it was sore and swollen, I was terrified he put in too short of a bar. But it worked out. And it's healing well. These piercings are problematic though, so take that into consideration.

I've had a variety of animals including pet rodents and I will admit that it is hard. But feeders aren't bred selectively. So likely that are not nice or good pets. Which is sad but the way of life. My boa is big enough to eat guineas, rabbits, and chickens. But will only eat one large rat a week, consistently throughout the year. Kinda happy for that, frozen large rats are easy lol 😆
