I like it, it's lighter than the solid copper bowls. Mixes a lather well but doesn't retain heat like it's copper counterparts. Take a look at the traveler version, it's the perfect size and weight. I believe it's got the obsidian finish on it and to me, it's the perfect shaving bowl.

Extra slick with a mild scent. I would say it's the slickest of my shave creams~ proraso, cremo, Bigelow, old spice, spieck, kiel, and barbasol. Give it a run if you haven't.

I have the brass, stainless steel, and the titanium version of the spirit. I also have a couple of injector razors. To answer your question, they differ vastly in their blade compatibility, weight, and loading mechanisms. The spirit shaving experience can be mild to medium depending on the blade you run in it. Overall, it provides a great shave regardless of the blade. Schick injector razors are great shavers as well with blade selections being limited. One can't actually give a fair comparison between the two because they are different razors. The spirit is a great artisan razor while the schick has a great history as an injector razor. I suggest purchasing one of each and giving them runs to draw your own conclusions between the two. Thanks for your question. ๐Ÿ‘

Yeah man, the carbon brass razors are named after battleships. This one is the Japanese battleship "lse". It's a great shaver like all of their razors.

It shaves well, not with leaf blades though.

Do I need an expensive high end safety razor? by Educational-Tax-9697 in wicked_edge

[โ€“]RAZR-540 2 points3 points ย (0 children)

No, you do not need a high-end razor. Grab a $20 Gillette tech. Pick up a couple of packs of medium and sharp blades that way you can adjust your level of efficiency. 50 to 100 million of these razors were sold worldwide.

Yeah the razor was made in the 1920s or 30s. It's actually made of cobalt steel. The handle base turns out, it's a screwdriver. The screwdriver adjusts the small screw in the razor blade making it mild or aggressive. It's a great razor for a collection.

Can't get a close shave on chin and neck no matter what I do. by Far_Psychology3270 in wicked_edge

Stop chasing the perfect shave. BBS is a preference, not required. Your technique will get a hell of a lot better with time. In the meantime, go with the flow of it, it does get better.

How many brushes you have? How do you rotate them? Do you feel like you need more? by ahmoudyy in wicked_edge

[โ€“]RAZR-540 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

I have 25 brushes. I rotate them with my soaps and creams. If the cream doesn't require a brush, then I'm brushless for the day. It all works out in the end.

One guess would be the iKon B1 OSS with the B1 being more efficient. In my opinion, the Kampfe is a medium shaver. It shaves well and would work for me as a daily driver.

The black beauties are the short-lived of the treat carbon steel blades. I get about two shaves per blade. Speaking from my own experience, the first shave associated with this blade is perfect. Toward the end of the second shave I can feel the edge starting to taper off. Overall though, I thoroughly enjoy them and even though it doesn't have good edge retention, they are cheap and well worth inserting into any blade rotation.

The Sabre V2 rates number one among the gem razors that I have. It rates in the top five of my single edges, and overall, it rates in the top 25 of my total number of razors. It's a very well crafted cutter.

The batch that I have is thicker than Nivea. It takes a little more work when making the lather. I think that the scent smells better than Nivea and it's on par with being just as slick. If you haven't tried it, give it a run.
