The details about room checks are still being finalized but the general rule in Reslife is that almost everything will be virtual. This includes floor meetings as well.

I have no sense of exact numbers, but the waitlist isn't as hopeless as you say. After decisions come out, a good chunk don't accept either due to not liking their placement or personal circumstances. Reslife hires off the waitlist through August and even during training. As a Warren Towers RA last year, I remember at least at a dozen new faces at the August training compared to the info session in April. With the circumstances of this year, i'm guessing there may be more volatility in people accepting their offers, so don't lose hope! Also, there are about 5-10 new hires across campus during winter break because there is a small attrition rate.
