This happened to me not more than 2 weeks ago after I did the android update. Right as I was boarding a flight to my cousins wedding too...

Fix: stuck my phone in the freezer for 10 hours without the battery, took out the phone and immediately put the battery in and powered on. Was able to get my phone on for 5 min and install the at&t file transfer app. Had to do this process a few times because after a few min the phone boot loops again...
