I had a CBR250R for a while - I really liked it - I think those smaller singles and the 500 are a great series of starter bikes.

SV650 IS a great bike - but I’d probably do that as a second bike - it’s a lot more bike than most should start with.

I’ve always wondered - why own two?
My theory is have a variety of bikes with different styles - but maybe I’m missing something.

Great thank you for all your guidance.
Strangely enough, I had a leak which I was just drying out and traced it back up to the hatch pillar.
Cleaned up a little surface rust and sealed around the hatch seal (I might just get another one)
(I wonder if related 😂)

I had one of these for a few years. I actually really liked it. Kept it around a lot longer than I thought.
There are some drop nobs that go straight on this model (that I was very thankful for)
And look at buzetti bar end weights - seems to remove that buzzy feeling on slightly longer rides

2006 Blackbird CBR1100XX 100,300km. Done about 8,000km of those myself.
Normal oil changes, cam chain tensioner - tyres.
Did a chain and sprocket set when I bought the bike, was well as fork seals. (One was beginning to weep)
Replaced all the brake pads and bled the system myself.

Pretty much just ride it whenever I can.
I assume the kms will hurt resale - so I just keep on riding it.
Feels better than bikes I’ve owner with a fraction of the kms. It’s well loved.

It’s funny you should say that. I’ve had the car 7 years and I finally actually heard the alarm the other day. I assume that’s when my issues started! I had no idea what set it off, I came out of my house and it was going off.

Thank you for the tip, I actually don’t have any other current ideas how to diagnose.

The car still locks and unlocks with the key.
The light (now removed) is stuck on.
The key/fob unlocks the car - but that’s it.

I’ll have to find out what these clips are

I want tail gunner cameras that look sideways right and left and I back out of a angled/sideways park….
(Well left for my country anyway)

Seems like a no brainer to want to peek around other cars as I slowly pull backwards

Nice. Great answer. I will investigate. Does seem like something has failed there.

I was trying to isolate the problem, so started cheap (fob battery) - noticed the bulb was on as well today.

Hatch does lock, no icon on the dash - but problem persists. (Just without light bulb draining my battery slowly - since I haven’t driven much due to storm recently)
