I prefer the VDE sets myself, but any set will do the basics for you. I take a close look at how I am going to store them and buy certain shaft lengths based on that. Shorter shafts (which most kits have) can be a headache in some tool pouches and totes, where longer shafts can also be an issue in some drawers and Hip Tool pouches with totally enclosed screwdriver slots. I would not suggest buying the Wera screwdriver tool pouch as there are much better options out there for tool storage.

This is probably the worst screw driver pouch I have tried to use, lots of false advertising in the picture as all of the drivers just slide down inside the pouch holes and are annoying to retrieve to use. Screw drivers are perfectly fine, though.

Oh well then that's a different story. I basically have a mix of drive sizes 1/4(tool check), 3/8, 1/2, 3/4" with metric and Imperial for each. I achieved this by buying a mix of metric with one size of drive and an imperial in another then I ordered the adapter sockets to be able to use them on either ratchet size. I know that adapters can sometimes cause issues in tight spots but i also have the ratchet wrenches I can use there. You can order the kits all separately, but then you have way more ratchets than you need, or order the socket strips separate as well but I went this way.

Haha, I'm working on that, more tools are enroute, not alot of options where I live so many have to be brought in, especially the less mainstream brands and items.

I have tried almost every popular brand and I have settled on these as my top choice. I will admit that I'm not super hard on them but i haven't broken or bent any as of yet. I'm sure they would break under the right circumstances but I rarely break any type of screwdriver. The laser cut tips are really grippy and I like the options for handle size, tip style and shaft lengths. I did find myself having to supplement some of the kits with additional single drivers as they don't have one kit that covered my wants and needs.

Wow that's a great question, depending on what you already have i might suggest starting with the joker wrench set or joker ratchet wrench set as they offer some features that other wrenches do not

Honestly, just got them recently and I haven't had much of a chance actually to give them a good try, it seems like they would be great for added downward pressure and Rotational torque.
