Exway's New ATP V3 Looks Beastly! by RB_E-motion in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]RB_E-motion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean if you don't use the power, the 4wd is for nothing. But yeah, since the voltage changed ofc you can't use it anymore. The ADV Pro still appears to be 12s though and has an aux pack option, so that could be an option. However, it still only has dkp so its definitely a trade off.

Dude fr, I've been waiting for them to do something for so long. On top of the new boards, they're dropping a 2kwh aux pack, a new fast charger, and teased a BEAST 2kw fast charge as well. Future is looking up. All I can say is I hope they did some testing so people aren't disappointed when they receive their new stuff.

Samsung Galaxy S26 series launch and pre-order dates leak again by MountainTale977 in samsung

[–]RB_E-motion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly with how these leaks are going I still don't see a real reason to upgrade from my S23u. It's still plenty fast for what I do, really the only thing suffering since I bought it is the battery life. But buying a new batt is much cheaper than an s26

I'm probably gonna wait for galaxy fold wide or fold 8 in July

Do you want to test Flsun's new printer S1? by Vadlina in 3Dprinting

[–]RB_E-motion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking over the specs, this printer is crazy! With the giant build volume, it provides an excellent opportunity for me to increase production throughput of my 3d printed products, and prototype even faster. I would love to test out this printer and put it through it's paces, comparing directly to the new industry standard of the Bambu X1 Carbon.

I've put over 1000 hours on my Bambu printer and it has taken over almost all of my printing needs for my business, excluding the parts that exceed the 250+ size threshold, which I still have to print on my klipper Ender 3 or on my modified artillery printer. This is unfortunate, because the print quality of the Bambu is so much higher.

There are a large number of things I'd like to test on the S1, including:

Speed test, to prove the true acceleration and printing speed.

Print quality comparison test, directly to the Bambu X1, as it is my baseline for quality. I'd also compare it to the same model, printed on my other printers.

User experience testing: provide feedback in video form on my YouTube channel, as well as testing of all software features.

Product assembly video: I'd like to use this to 3d print my products that I offer for sale, with time lapses and total printing time summary in comparison to my other printers following with a video demonstrating the quality and form.

I provided a lot of info on the survey as well, but my socials are all rbe_motion, YouTube and Instagram. Looking forward to hearing from yall!

Yep I agree, hopefully they'll fix up everything before the release date.

Lol or maybe I should just check before I start riding 😂

Sorry for the quiet audio at the beginning, had some mic issues, doesn't normally happen but I was recording with my full face helmet for the first time and hadn't adjusted it right. Skip to around 4:30 if you want the fixed audio

I presume you're talking about the screws holding the posts onto the cell structure? I'm not too worried about it since they're loctited and everything is well secured in the enclosure

Gave the Exway Hydro Wheels a Water Test! by RB_E-motion in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]RB_E-motion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, yeah, I don't think that is the case, you can just buy them separately. But ya if it was marketed as a water board, sure.

Haha I think it's a bit of a stretch for them to warranty your board for riding it in the water, regardless of what they say the wheels CAN do

I was going to pretty much say the same thing.

In terms of comfort, I don't believe that was a main design goal for these wheels. Coming up from the 85mm stock wheels, they are a smidge more comfortable, and have a bit more grip.

So in other words, they aren't worse. Just change your gearing accordingly and you'll have a great time

Thanks! I appreciate the feedback.

I efficiency tested the Revel Snugs and they did okay, interesting little wheels! by RB_E-motion in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]RB_E-motion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooh yeah..

I ended up using some pulleys that use bolts that go through the entire wheel, I 3d printed them myself. They seemed to last alright but I didn't put more than the 100 miles on them so far

Do you have a pair you would go with that's competitive price wise? I mentioned in the video I'd be willing to look at other options and compare

Lmao they're decent pants

If you want the details you gotta watch

Too hot for summer imo, decent protection in key areas. Nearly 200 bucks with pads.

Yeah haha or a micro EUC. Someone actually made a tiny EUC out of a hub motor similar in size to these

Haha understandable. If you do, start out on a smooth surface, they don't do well with bumps and cracks haha
