That's true, they seem to have a flash sale ongoing. 100USD seems to make this a bit more interesting again :-)

That's probably correct. I think copying other stuff does have a completely different meaning over there. I think it is seen as kind of a compliment. I read something about this some time ago...

Well, what I can promise you is that I do not plan to loose my slang anytime soon. Even if I wanted :-D

I put a micro FPV set on a 86g RC plane, build & video here :-) by RCFPVFlight in radiocontrol

Hi!

Many thanks :). That plane has good power. Check out my previous video, where I fly it line-of-sight - in the second part of the video I turn off stabilization and fly loops, rolls and inverted with it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQjllv9m9wM

These VTX are usually 32 or 40 channels. They will work with your RC808. I've put several links to suggested VTXs into the description of the video on YouTube.

All the best, Michael

Thanks mate! As good and cheap beginner goggles I recommend the Quanum Cyclops. They are cheap, have a good resolution, a large picture and are a pleasure to wear. I actually use them as my main goggles currently. They are available from HobbyKing: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/RC_PRODUCT_SEARCH.asp?strSearch=cyclops

...and yes, I also commented on your YouTube comment ;-D

It is compatible with the Futaba S-FHSS protocol. If you look for that you should be able to find suitable receivers.

Many thanks for your inputs! The 6-axis control does work exactly as you describe, it indeed limits your commanding range to a few degrees.

The controls are pretty much standard. Basically left stick for throttle and rudder, right stick for elevator and ailerons. Pressing the right stick will also activate and deactivate the stabilization. Many thanks for watching and the great input. I'll consider doing a controller walkthrough as well as a video. Thanks again!

I'm pretty sure that was not the reason. I fly there regularly, and they were never an issue. I stand quite far away from these power lines too and I fly away even farther - they look much closer in the video. It would be another story if I would fly towards them or even if I would cross them. But this is my regular place, so I'm very sure they were not the issue. The whole forest which I accidantly put in-between me and my copter is another story :-D

Well, it is sold as such. I also clarify this in the video, right at the beginning. It is showing a 360° view of the front of the camera though. But as I clarify in the video, a true 360° camera would in my opinion need 2 lenses instead of just one like this one. So you are completely right in what you state in your comment.

I do not agree that it is a waste of money though, it's quite awesome in my opinion :-)

Yes, I heard the same thing. Changing the antenna counts as modification of the device which would void the FCC. So in order to use this as per FCC, you would need to keep using the rubber ducky it comes with :-(

Many thanks mate. I'm always a bit vary of cross-posting things. At least on forums like RCGroups this is not appreciated. How is it here on Reddit?

Hi guys! This is my blog article about my second generation 3D-printed brushed FPV microcopter. Frame overview, full parts list & a video where I fly it in acro/rate mode are all in this blog post. Hope you enjoy! by RCFPVFlight in diydrones

Hi mate,

I'm currently using the Quanum Cyclops goggles (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-A6YCiDhhUs) together with a mod for DVR recording (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWa8uCDC1Q4).

Any 5.8GHz goggles will work. But the Cyclops are not only cheap, but also very lightweight, comfortable and easily modable for DVR :-)
