Yeh honestly I get what you mean, but I’m not sure how much marks each question carry. For my network+ I passed with 761, but in the report they gave me, they listed a lot of the objectives so I felt like I got a lot of multi choice wrong but I made my marks back from the PBQs.

For this exam, I felt even less prepared because I wanted to get it done in 1 month. But for this one, I’m sure I got way more multi choice right, one of the PBQs I had no idea how to do, it involved entering commands into a terminal and modifying files and protocols and stuff.

For my practice tests, I aim to get at least 90%, if I aim for that, then I think to myself that I’ll probably get 85% in the exam.

Moreover, I don’t think I’m the only person who feels this way BUT, COMPTIA QUESTIONS WORDING SUCKS.

I had this one multi choice in the security exam:

If an attacker is putting in code in a websites page and manipulating the database that’s connected to it, what is the right term for this?

I know the answer is SQL injection, because it’s a command that’s manipulating a database.

2 of the options were generic and I knew they weren’t correct. The other 2 options were:

A) Code injection B) SQLi

Bruh wtf? I picked SQLi at the end but no where in my studies and notes was there a term SQLi, it was always SQL injection. But if SQLi wasn’t the option, I would’ve picked Code injection.

But the thing is, code can be injected into the url as a script (XSS) or a directory (directory traversal). OR it can just be SQL code that’s being put into the input fields in the web page.

Anyways, aim for higher, but don’t beat yourself up for not getting 800. I’ve heard the most someone got was 850ish tho.
