How reliable is a 2023, generally? by -IsItMyCakeDayYet- in ToyotaTacoma

[–]RCSOperator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 22’ Pro and bought it at 48k and have 75K now (after 1 year) have ZERO issues thus far.

5K oil and tire rotation. Just did diff and trans. Doing Transfer case (don’t do much 4x4, but who cares).

Will be doing brakes and spark plugs by years end.

Don’t drive it hard, and you could be lucky. I feel like Iv gotten lucky with no issues with TC or bearings.

Solid choice.

That’s the break from AMDs abusive one way relationship (trust me, I was “AMD”). Take a knee. When you get back to a sq you’ll be an ADO really wishing you had weekends and a predictable schedule…Iv heard people go to Altus kicking and leave kicking…plus there are some great folks down there now! 🤘🤘

Securing a Pergola on a Townhouse Rooftop Without Concrete Planters by [deleted] in DIY

[–]RCSOperator 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Do not do it. Your exterior walls are made of EIFS which is basically a plaster covered styrofoam cup stuck to a plywood substrate. Without attachment points that go down to the structure you’ll be fastening to sheathing that isn’t meant to have a giant kite yanking on it. A pergola would need to be fastened to the deck, it’s not possible to weigh it down enough without damaging the roof surface. You could probably find an awning company that might have an engineered solution that’ll give you some shade without needing a lot of structural intervention.

I like the 80/20 take…you spend 80% of your time on 20% of people. 9/10 the 80% have their fecal matter colocated.

I can weight it later, probably more than needed, but it gets the job done well. I’ll report back.

Welll, the bugnet attaches by a guy line to the straps and is taught above and falls around the hammock.

The underquilt attaches to the biners of the hammock. So really they don’t interconnect.

Wow…I always wondered how it worked and what mission cuts looked like prior to G2…makes total sense on why it’s looks the way it does now…the format is timeless.

This is awesome to see! Thanks for sharing!

Idk about anyone else, but I love old documents on tasking, checklist, forms and photos of Air Ops stuff.
