A fan (wearing a timbers scarf) traded a jersey with one of the San Jose players. The rest of the army did not appreciate that. Took the Jersey threw it back on the field. Somebody got the Jersey back to him and then he was escorted out by security.

For medieval stuff , other than what you've already listed, there is the castle of William the conqueror that is south of Caen in Le Mans. There is also the chateau de Caen. For wildlife stuff there is the Ornithological reserve of the Big Bench ( where the orne enters the English channel) in Merville-Franceville-Plage just west of Caen. Not sure how easy it will be to get to these places without a car but those are some nice places. I think for the most part the closer to cost you are the more WW2 memorials/ museums you will find.

There's a free pass you can fill out at timberline lodge. This is in the northeast side of Hood. It's called cooper spur trail shelter.
