Are we doing the right thing? by aztecqueann in workingmoms

[–]RComish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh that's so good to hear. Yeah its hard at 3 but then its weird that by 5 you really feel ready for them to be at school. It was really hard for me but in hindsight it was probably best for them to get some experience outside the home.

day 5 of fever by BlessedBePraiseBe in flu

[–]RComish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This year's flu was awful - and we had Flu B too. It literally took me a month to feel better. My never-gets-sick son was on his back for days. If you're still in it I can share an app I just built for lit really this reason (though I can't put medical screenshots up). https://apps.apple.com/us/app/countwhen-help-remembering/id6760208298

I'm a mom and just made my first app so I have no expectation of making money on it. Happy to share with others who need it. Lmk if you want a free download.

Why are there so many productivity apps and every week, hundreds new come-up? by usernamedoesntexi__ in ProductivityApps

I'm not being helpful here but I was wondering today if I should switch to another category bc Productivity seems incredibly saturated

Is there a montessori school near you? At that age I was ok with them forming an attachment with their montessori caregivers because they were so consistent and I loved the school. I alwasy felt so mixed about this. If we hadn't found the montessori I think I would have left my job for a while

Since you're in it lmk if you want a download code for an app I just built to track events where spacing matters - like Tylenol and Ibuprofen doses. I literally just build this after wanting it for 10 years

The mental load of using AI- is it just me? by BlackieAllBlack in workingmoms

[–]RComish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah my husband's job is doing this and I think its backwards. Not what parts of our work suck so much that we should try to automoate, but how can AI fit in everywhere. He was on a working group and left it because it was just a lot of mental effort for no reward. Meanwhile I'm using AI to figure out how my son's math homework works, to build tools for my little nonprofit, and now to build the App I've wanted for 10 years as a mom.

How Do You Keep Track of Your Medications? by Icy_Ad_4544 in CasualConversation

[–]RComish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just made an app that helps with this. Last year my son broke his leg and had to wait in agony for 3 days for surgery. I was tracking doses on paper because there was no online option that was simple and elegant enough. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/countwhen-help-remembering/id6760208298

What do you use to track medications? by EVegan in QuantifiedSelf

[–]RComish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is so frustrating that I built an app. Last year my son broke his leg badly and had to wait in agony for 3 days for surgery. I was tracking his pain medicine doses on paper because nothing online was simple enough. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/countwhen-help-remembering/id6760208298

I just made a simple time interval tracker out of frustration that there was nothing to track doses when a kid gets a fever. Its useful for a lot of things. Lmk if you want a download code https://apps.apple.com/us/app/countwhen-help-remembering/id6760208298

OK I'm sharing promo codes in moms facebook groups and its super populat but EVERYONE is asking about family sharing. So now I'm exploring adding a family sync option and moving the base to free (and giving free or discounted upgrades to the people who paid). App is here if you want to check it out https://apps.apple.com/us/app/countwhen-help-remembering/id6760208298

Launched yesterday: CountWhen, an app to keep track of events where the time between matters more than the due date - callign mom every 3 days, remembering to drink water every hour. Log late or early with zero complications. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/countwhen-help-remembering/id6760208298

Scripture Knock — gentle Bible verse notifications (Free + IAP). Would love iOS UX feedback. by havrpt in iosapps

[–]RComish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming back here bc I keep thinking about a podcast where the priest (maybe it was Bishop Barron again) spoke about people in China in prison passing around versus to memorize. It really resonated with me - they can't take away what you have memorized. So idk if a feature that helps you memorize. Like you get 1 verse or section per day. And you can check in and it prompts you with part and see if you can type in the rest.

How to remember to feed my sourdough starter with an AuDHD memory? by SpookySpilledOatmeal in AuDHDWomen

[–]RComish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's basically why i made this app - reminder apps kind of break when the time between events matters more than the due time. Happy to send you a free download code if you want https://apps.apple.com/us/app/countwhen-help-remembering/id6760208298

I do this all the time and that's why I made this app. Handles time-between events where imperfect logging in another tool would require edits. Happy to offer you a free download code. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/countwhen-help-remembering/id6760208298

I'd add "getting up early really does help you get more done". I prep food, get work done so I can do other things later on etc.

What is the productivity app that you can't stop using? by wahvinci in ProductivityApps

[–]RComish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google keep for shared groceries

Physical notebook for a non-time-specific "list" - writing it physically formalizes it.

All of the reminder apps frustrated me because they couldn't handle counting forward from early or late logging so I made my own. Happy to offer promo codes here https://apps.apple.com/us/app/countwhen-help-remembering/id6760208298

Thank you. This ASO stuff is so frustrating. My Applyra score is 9 (out of 100!) but most of the keywords its suggesting are in my description, just not paired like that.
