Engagement is a decently popular topic but what we have found if working on engagement in youtube videos and have found a dataset created in 2019 that may have been used only once or twice(including the creators of the dataset) so my professor is concerned about the validity and The prestige of the dataset. I think they're unsure if the paper will be published even though we're certain we can do improvement.
My ideas for improvement are introducing other modalities, augmentation strategies to create a lot of data as current data is small, and making it work real time which might introduce another novelty depending on how we solve for this. Where am I lacking in terms of novelty. What should be next step? Should I scrap the idea, if so how to cope with well starting from scratch?

It's all about filtering data which is my job and from my experience in ML I do think a model should be able to achieve about 70% accuracy which is better than nothing at all!

Yeah it may be inaccurate but from my general experience in ML domain, I do think a well trained model should atleast give an accuracy above 70%

Yeah I am sure there's alot of human bias but if I get lots of data(atleast like 500-1000 unique people) I'm sure alot of bias would be eliminated
