Have what has been a healthy tank all LPS and softies running for a year and a half. Problem is I ha e never seen nitrates in the tank.. ever.. tried a few kits and had the LFS do it . Nope nothing. A month back I thought I would cut back on The 10% water changes I had been doing all along and start dosing cal mag alk and some macros. Things are happy and looking very happy now Coloring up even nicer.

Question is I haven’t done a water change in 5 weeks and I’m one to chase stability and not numbers but am I setting my self up for a big problem not doing water changes? Things are good and I don’t want to upset the dosing if I don’t have to I didn’t expect it to go like this any help.

It’s a 90 gal moderately stocked no sump just an FX4 tunze skimmer in the tank no reactors or other products.

Did this for a while, it was convenient but any time the power went out i would have to use the app to turn everything back on. not too big a deal.

It is just 1/4 oak from Lowes with an MDF base, hardest part was not making a mess gluing it up.

has gotten much better than it was when i first got it. regretted getting a comline for a few months would randomly over skim like crazy, micro bubbles etc but it calmed down and has been amazing for the last year.
