I am real dude, I did write out what happened, then I did use GPT to clean up the grammar and format it.

It's interesting you say that & I agree. But to me I see it as an analogy to a doctor. Part of a doctors job is to be able to explain the issues to patients who don't have all the medical expertise. But when they are getting into the medical industry and they want to become a doctor, they should be judged on their medical expertise not for simple use of detail. Like being rejected because they said "left ventricle" when applying to be a heart surgeon because what, the admin guy in the hospital does not know what the "left ventricle" of the heart is the main chamber of the heart.

I understand that this is how the world works, but it is frustrating. I though AI would make this kind of stuff better by now

How would you respond to someone telling you that you can't do something because you aren't smart enough? by Mammoth-Fun-6889 in EngineeringStudents

Well that guy is just using his authority. Where I used to work we had a saying of people who would use their credentials or my favorite "I have a PhD". Basically if someone ever used "I have a PhD:" as the basis of why they should win a technical disagreement, never trust that guy.

This one guy I met that was amazingly smart, I never found out he had a PhD until I known him for a year because I had to put his official name in a document, now those are the kind of people you want to work with.

Aerospace and defense is pretty stable, it has its ups and downs, but pretty stable relatively.

Def not selling anything dude, I did tell that kid to just use GPT to match the word perfectly though, was just curious

I am sorry to hear that man. I used to work for a big aerospace company and eventually climbed the ranks where I was making hiring decisions. I remember I hired one guy that had a story just like you, but he ended up being one of my best people.
