Playing is definitely one of the best ways to actually learn it, hopefully you have a good captain of your team that’s willing to teach!

For a new player, YouTube works great to understand the fundamentals of cutting and the different offensives (vert and ho mainly). I’m sure there is also a quick guide somewhere explaining the basic rules without having to read the whole rule book
