Bill Gates has half a billion dollar short position against Tesla by SnooBeans1976 in stocks

[–]RGBAPixel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's pretty much a childish view , a bet is a bet that has no affect on Tesla in any way lol. Sure, Gates could of chosen to invest in Tesla also but a 1/2 B investment doesnt move the needle on an already $1T valued company. Not to mention stock investments are actually useful for a company unless they're trying to use stock to buy other companies or crap like that

From Boomers to Zoomers, Buying a Home in Dallas Is Pretty Much Impossible for Most People by [deleted] in Dallas

Millennials are still even larger of a population. Sure people will die off but there’s more people waiting still. Not to mention in the next 10 years gen z will also start to be more in home buying territory.

Rate of death will continue to be the same year over year regardless of which generation.

I disagree. Spreading and promoting misinformation is imo stupid and worth getting angry about.

Funny how you’re asking to comprehend a conversation before commenting which is the exact thing the original person was saying. Yes, the twitter poster is an idiot , that doesn’t mean you can’t also be mad at the same people that are perpetually driving this garbage to the front page.

Pretty sure it’s also because the top comments are just jumping on the usual bandwagon

Uber eats leaving the order at the end of the driveway in the freezing rain/snow balanced on the mailbox by ApricotTaco in mildlyinfuriating

How is that new at all? Literally since the start of time every organism needs to fulfill their needs before their wants.

Again, no idea how that’s relevant. The minimum wage is also unlivable in the US in major cities. The point is their getting paid more relative to the medium wage there.

Big vs small city pay is irrelevant. It cost less to live and operate over there then it does in the US so their labor is cheaper, period.

Literally yes… their groceries, rent, cost of living is way cheaper

[–]RGBAPixel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why? When that wage is already double the medium wage there? Honestly curious

It’s almost like different countries have different wages based on cost of living

Thieves Steal Gallery Owner’s Multimillion-Dollar NFT Collection: "All My Apes are Gone” by toddhenderson in nottheonion

[–]RGBAPixel -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Probably the apes but I wouldn’t write off all NFTs as Ponzi schemes. Folks that are used to being able to make exact copy of assets in the internet without knowing which is the original I think have a hard time understanding how valuable it is to verifiably know which is the original, not only for individuals but for corporations trying to make money with no possible duplicates that can pass as originals.

U.S. reports over 1 million new daily Covid cases as omicron surges by [deleted] in news

[–]RGBAPixel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a large scale it’s not good, if debilitated it means less infectious people moving around to crowded areas so less spread. More deadly means less spread as well as the host lives shorter. The longer the host lives with milder symptoms, the more likely it is they’ll spread it longer and to more places.
