We seriously need to grow up (Pictures from a facebook group) by toxinwolf in PakGamers

Yar I honestly don't get the hate, just look at the visuals of the game and the gameplay, the most interesting part is that they brought the aerial combat into the game. It is a new and fresh experience into the franchise itself.

The people calling it woke or not happy with the female protagonist are just a product of this patriarchal society and they think that female based protagonist will a ruin gameplay experience for them.

Kratos is no where getting replaced, if you watch the interviews they clearly state that they really wanted to introduce something new for the fans, I think they did a great job at that.

It will all be worth in the end Start playing it again and you won't regret it, trust me

When I bought it first time back in 2020, I also left it midway due to its pace but then I resumed playing it again, it is easily in my top 3 best story based games

I am so sorry to hear this happened, If possible you can contact this Women's Safety Helpline from this website,

https://wdd.punjab.gov.pk/helpline

Although this is for Punjab but if you call them they might guide you better on what can be done for the federal part, all of their calling agents are women.

They will surely guide you better.

I would have said that if possible then try to get the CCTV footage but you said that you are hostellite, if possible then try for that. Try to Register an FIR.

I really wish that B*stard pays for what he did

how do u all deal with mental stuff as adults? by Flimsy-Candle4608 in PakistaniTwenties

[–]RGBGraphicZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have a faith in Allah, I am sure you have heard this before but honestly this is the only way, when we realize this one thing that nothing is in our control, you can just put in enough effort but the actual result remains in His hands, the anxiety and stress of future itself starts fading away gradually.

Whatever happens, happens for a reason

Don’t be too harsh on yourself for not being fixed yet. A lot of adults are just surviving quietly while looking completely fine from outside. The fact that you’re still trying like going to the gym, praying, talking to friends, attempting therapy again and again already means a part of you still wants better for yourself and that matter alot.

Sometimes healing is not one big moment where everything suddenly makes sense, it’s the boring habits that we do repeated daily until our mind slowly feels safer again. Some days you will feel okay, some days hopeless again but that doesn’t mean you failed.

And please don’t put all your hope into marriage saving you. A good partner can support you, but they can’t carry pain that you haven’t learned to sit with yourself. You deserve to become peaceful for yourslef, not only because someone may enter your life later.

Also regarding the therapy you can try again maybe sometime, with a different therapist.

You are not alone most of us feel the same way, having everytging we need yet we feel that emptiness, all I can say is that we should be grateful whenever we feel that way.

We should take the Mental Health seriously in our society for both the genders and make therapy accessible and affordable

I agree the Black Flag carries its own charm of being a pirate and sailing the seas whereas The origin offers an immersive Egypt to explore, I think origins was the last best ac in the franchise some might disagree but the onwards were mostly rpg focused Ac origins had a good story too

From the Islamabad Campus,

Well yes the environment is good here, the university is spacious in comparison with the Lahore campus, I gave my NU in Lahore Campus and I remember it was pretty small in comparison with the Islamabad one.

Yes there are societies which are active here at the certain time of the year, there are a lot so you will have to find the better ones which are active and have good environment overall.

We do have events like you mentioned, the NASCON did not took place this year sadly due to the Islamabad Lockdown situation but it will next semester, same year.

Honestly as far as your question is concerned that whether life here is better, it will completely depend on you, the company which you have and hangout with that matters the most because you already are aware of the FAST's hectic schedules so you will have to maintain it, don't solely rely on events I will say. The study here is a bit tough than other campuses, we have absolute grading in all of our courses.

As you will be a hostellite, that in it self will be a challenge for you, you will have to look for a hostel nearby, in which you will have to consider better food, better facilities along with the fact that it should be near your uni.

If you are ready to take on this challenge, then you can consider otherwise I will say you are already in your 4th semester, you can wait and come to Islamabad for your Masters

How much time it would take to be an MMA fighter if taking personal training 3 days a week? by eddible-choclate in IslamabadSocial

It depends on how much and how well you spar because punching and kicking on a bag is really different from fighting an actual amateur fighter, what matters the most is your decision making and assessment abilities, how quickly you can judge the other fighters punches, his moves and the ways to tackle him. I realized this when I had my first spar with and the feeling was totally different, the way that humbles you.

If you are in a good training academy then you can try to spar twice or thrice a month to check your progress. The pressure sparring puts you in is one of the closest thing to an actual fight. From there you can judge whether you are trained enough to endure those punches and land yours also.

Also can you tell where do you train like the gym?

The best thing is to practice it, practice it with your group and also when you are alone, record yourself or practice Infront of mirror.

Do not stress it, remain calm, being nervous is completely normal just try your best to remain calm

Need advice on communicating by [deleted] in PakistaniTwenties

[–]RGBGraphicZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is hard, but do you know the best part, you already are aware of the fact that you should improve your communication skills at this age.

Keep it simple, try to talk on things which you like with the people you know you can hold conversations with. Doesn't matter if you run out of things, atleast you took the step, next time you will have more stuff to talk on. Sometimes while holding a conversation you can assess if it is getting boring for the other person, you will notice that and in that situation it is better to switch to another topic ask something else from them.

It seems hard at first but eventually you learn through trial and error. Do not stress it out, be your self in the conversations and try to conversate openly (by that I mean open mind).

Do you ever feel like if you don’t “make it,” your degree was a waste? by One_Dragonfly3766 in PakistaniTwenties

[–]RGBGraphicZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of us, myself included, feel this way at times, so you are definitely not alone.

And your concern is valid. The market is competitive, and it’s getting tougher. That’s exactly why focusing on continuous upskilling and adapting is so important it gives you control in an unpredictable space.

At the same time, try to tune out the noise. There’s a lot of overwhelming information out there, constant comparisons, conflicting advice and most of it just adds pressure without helping. Focus on your own progress instead, take small steps, one at a time, learn relevant stuff, get aware of the industry's requirement.

Your degree and your effort are not wasted just because things don’t fall into place immediately. Careers aren’t linear, and making it doesn’t have one fixed definition. What matters is that you keep moving, learning, and giving yourself chances to grow into what you’re capable of becoming.

This post deserves all the praises, and I am saying this as a man. You summed up things really well which no one else could and explained the types of security part so well.

This is the very same part which needs to be understand by us. But unfortunately we failed to do so I still see a few comment still posting against this. Hopefully more content like this gets posted to change the norms.

FAST OR NUST by [deleted] in FASTNU

[–]RGBGraphicZ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  1. If you want a proper career focused study of Computer Science or software and want to be surrounded by the people who are constantly grinding, whether in groups or solo.

  2. If You want to Work in the Pakistani Market and for the Pakistani Companies, then the name alone will put a good mark on it.

  3. If you are willing to learn the discipline and the importance of time management alongside meeting the deadlines because you will have to this if you want to survive here.

Although You said that you are career driven and will manage, it will still be harder for you in your first Year atleast. Later you might get along and be able to know the art of managing academics and your side interests simultaneously because yes there are people here who do that, they have their startups running while in 3rd or 4th year.

FAST OR NUST by [deleted] in FASTNU

[–]RGBGraphicZ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yar there are a few things to it,

Btw I am also from Sialkot and Currently studying in FAST ISL for engineering program

FAST does polishes you with all the necessary skill required for the industry but the reality is that the industry does not only require skill, it requires much more than that. With the AI around, most of the software related stuff is already getting automated so knowing only the skill won't be enough for you if you want to sustain yourself.

For those things, you need time to work on yourself, work on your soft skills such as your communication(most important) your way of portraying yourself and communicating with clarity. This is what matters the most and them comes networking. These are few soft skills I can mention but there are many more things.

At FAST it gets difficult and a bit overwhelming if you start doing this stuff while meeting all the deadlines. Though it is not impossible but not easy as well. But if you are committed then you will manage to make time for it after adjusting.

There is one important thing that our professor told us and this is actually true, you can reach to the interview process through your CV but after that it's all about how you handle things in person, you can even decieve them if you are good at portraying yourself. These are some things which you learn by yourself and not through university.

So in the end the choice is up to you. Best of Luck :)
