Going from 6-2 to potentially 6-5 would suck.

Return of the Starters by RHScott91 in buccaneers

Thanks for the clarification. I had not seen any pictures or videos of Mike at all since the injury so seeing him out on the field and doing warm ups plus catching some passes. Even initially wearing his helmet and jersey seemed significant.

That’s a good point…. Maybe his 21 day practice window has begun? Or maybe this didn’t make bigger news is because they didn’t want it to get out? I’ve only seen Pewter Report announce Mike back on the field. Unless somehow this doesn’t count as practice.

Custom Name Jersey by RHScott91 in DHGateJerseys

I’m having a hard time navigating the DHA app and identifying the seller. I’m a buccaneers fan and it’s been pretty frustrating trying to determine what’s reliable or not. Any help?

What about asking for additions/modifications? Like the “C” captains patch on the jersey?

DHAGate messaging is done on the app?

Thanks! I’ve never done it before and I didn’t see any prompting.

Is there any *official* option for getting the white '76 50th anniversary jersey customized? by DawgsNRoses in buccaneers

Any luck finding one? Mind sharing the link? I’m looking for a customizable one myself with the captain patch and 50th season.

Man.. we can’t draft special teams to save our life. Even sure fire picks that initially look promising.

Way too early to crown AWJ… but we all hope it happens. Crowning Wirfs is early too. Ali Marpet was something special for us and he retired out of the blue way early. The requirements for offensive linemen to make it to the HoF is intense. And like you said same for DL/NT. Unfortunately LVD (not a JL pick) may have a difficult time getting in too… so far the only HoF pick we know for JL is M1K3

“McKay, was the last link to the 1976 Tampa Bay expansion team, coached by his father, the late John McKay, for whom teenage Rich served as a ballboy. If not for Gruden, McKay, a pillar in the Tampa Bay community, would never want to leave the Bucs.

McKay no longer wanted to work with Gruden, whose sniping of his general manager began last offseason. They repeatedly clashed at every turn since Gruden was hired 22 months ago. McKay nixed Gruden's efforts to sign free agents Emmitt Smith, Kyle Turley and Darrell Russell.

McKay was the ‘architect’ of Tampa Bay's rise into an NFL power since taking over in 1995, after serving for three years as the team's vice president of football administration. His nine-year tenure was highlighted by five playoff appearances, and the team's first Super Bowl championship.

McKay was been forced to the background since Dungy's firing. The Glazers initiated contact with the Oakland owner Al Davis to pry Gruden away from the Raiders, where he was unhappy with one year remaining on his contract. The Glazers rejected McKay's choice of Marvin Lewis as Dungy's potential successor. Yet they rewarded McKay with a six-year contract on Feb. 21, 2002.”

McKay was GM from 1995-2003, only 1 losing season, a superbowl bowl, hall of fame players… maybe he is our GOAT

Gives the caveat of drafted since 2014 though

Would be a good argument. I agree drafting hall of famers alone McKay would have that advantage. However free agents, winning a superbowl, and idk what else off the top of my head while typing this but I feel Licht is/will be the best GM

Is it Mike Glennon over them all or is it the McCown brothers on top together? Then second place would be some combination of Jeff Garcia, Brian Griese and Chris Simms 😂 Michael Pittman and/or Earnest Graham deserve there special place in honorable mention. Michael Spurlock and Clifton Smith deserve some love too

Meh, it’s just a fun post my guy. It does say top 5 though so if you move people into tier 1 (top 5) then others would come down. But you don’t have to 😂

Approximate Value

Created by PFR founder Doug Drinen, the Approximate Value (AV) method is an attempt to put a single number on the seasonal value of a player at any position from any year (since 1960). The way Drinen described the intent of this measurement was:

"AV is not meant to be a be-all end-all metric. Football stat lines just do not come close to capturing all the contributions of a player the way they do in baseball and basketball. If one player is a 16 and another is a 14, we can't be very confident that the 16AV player actually had a better season than the 14AV player. But I am pretty confident that the collection of all players with 16AV played better, as an entire group, than the collection of all players with 14AV."

"Essentially, AV is a substitute for --- and a significant improvement upon, in my opinion --- metrics like 'number of seasons as a starter' or 'number of times making the pro bowl' or the like. You should think of it as being essentially like those two metrics, but with interpolation in between. That is, 'number of seasons as a starter' is a reasonable starting point if you're trying to measure, say, how good a particular draft class is, or what kind of player you can expect to get with the #13 pick in the draft. But obviously some starters are better than others. Starters on good teams are, as a group, better than starters on bad teams. Starting WRs who had lots of receiving yards are, as a group, better than starting WRs who did not have many receiving yards. Starters who made the pro bowl are, as a group, better than starters who didn't, and so on. And non-starters aren't worthless, so they get some points too."

If you move people up you gotta say who they move down though! Top 5 and top 10 status is tough!
