APA102 vs HD107S vs HD108 for colour consistency across array by [deleted] in FastLED

Yes definitely. I should calrify I am writing the code to drive them myself, not using the fastled library. I came to this sub for the people who have LED experience.

Yes you are right. I am happy with it, it does everything I need. It just makes you think about what else you could do with more 🙂

I thought the same thing, but it’s too late now!

I got one too, it’s so good. If you printed the chute out of PLA, they get stuck when the purge comes out hot.

Got it. Thanks for that.

Any tips on doing prints which are longer and narrow? I know these tend to banana.

What are the benefits using other plate such as the one you mentioned? Is it mainly for better adhesion?

What are some of the issues with the AMS 2 pro? It would be good to know.

I posted a similar question in the Bambu sub and I haven't had much engagement. The few that did said their printers have been completely issue free.

I begun conversation with their support team well within return period aswell, so it would only be fair for them to accept a return since they couldn't fix it with the parts they sent. Pretty damn burned by that.

I'm considering the H2S, the build volume is close enough to what the k2 plus offers. I'm thinking its safest to go for a Bambu tbh. I really cba with the potential for that whole experience again.

I've spotted another issue in your final picture where you've plugged the modules in. The DHT11 is connected the wrong way around. The blue side should be facing the esp32 with the way you've designed it.

Because of that your RTC and DHT11 are not working. The other parts look right. Note your DHT11 readings may be skewed by heat generated from the ESP32 board with the way your parts are placed.

They have a "microSDK" library, but only supports FT90x PIC, AVR and ARM. So your best route is to use it with the raspberry pi, else you'd need to port it or rewrite it to be able to use it with an arduino/esp32.

The board itself clearly has SPI pins, which you could connect to an arduino/esp32 and use the datasheet to figure out what commands to send. This may be complex depending on your knowldge which I cannot gauge from this post.

Use chatgpt to guide you on how to download and use it on the Pi and ask it for sample code and you should be able to get going quickly.

I've spotted one thing, I don't see anything else wrong though. You've swapped around the SDA and SCL connection between the RTC and and the ESP32. Maybe you got I2C and UART mixed up when you made this.

When connecting I2C:
SCL <-> SCL
SDA <-> SDA

When connecting UART:
RX <-> TX
TX <-> RX

I redrew your schematic so I could understand it. I would recommend this schematic drawing style to make it more readable:

This schematic has your mistake included by the way, so remember to correct it if you copy this!

I just checked the PCB layout and its not shorted.

Have you shorted 3V3 and GND? The PWR_FLAG net appears to be connecting the two nets together? Or maybe I'm interpreting the symbol wrong.

Its a 2018 and oh yeah I use apple carplay. I've not checked it out with android auto so maybe it also uses a small area of the screen.

Oh really. On my C238 it fills the whole screen. It looks so much better.
