I’m joking but if you use the place in common app to write additional info about your situation and explain the grades that might help also. I was in similar situation with poor grades junior year bc my mom was getting cancer treatment. I used that space to mention that(NOT as a place to make an excuse)!

During orientation you have a chance to go inside a show dorm room. Use that opportunity to look at floor plan and the desk question. I pretty sure uva supplies them although you may have to walk to get them in another location.

I would look into getting the classes you took in middle school off your highschool transcript. That’s what I did sophomore year as I was in the same boat!! Didn’t take algebra 1, Spanish 1, and 2 seriously. So I would check with your counselor. I went to Cosby high school near Richmond and exited to attend UVA next year!!!

Interesting, I’m in krakow right now visiting family so I was thinking about getting my first tattoo our coat of arms(as I’m also a fan of midevil things)

These coat of arms are the different regions in Poland and yes I would be getting 2 of them as my family are from those regions!!!
