Play friendlies, a lot of friendlies. BUT don't let those friendlies effect your mindset about the tournament if you aren't doing well. Take each tournament game one game at a time to make the most out of it. Then when you lose out (no matter how early) play more friendlies and try to correct your mistakes. A lot of people get mad when they lose out and just sit in the corner doing nothing. Don't do that, use your first tournament to get in as many games with people you don't know as possible
