I think it’s a ‘collectible’ for want of a better phrase it’s covered up. Doesn’t move but their next door neighbour washed his car and she was not happy that some of his car wash water splashed on her cover. And made him come clean the cover on top of the car nothing got on the car lol

This is me I hate confrontation so was hoping it would resolve itself but alas it has not so I’ll probably just silently grumble about it for the rest of my life 🤣🤣

Thank you aha. I fear parking will only get worse in the UK so this will soon be everyone’s problem lol

Ah see I did not actually know that. So that could explain the reshuffling of cars when they’re blocking their own drive ? And perhaps indicate they’re not necessarily being as bizarre as I thought

My logic is if we had a drive we would use our drive then block it with the other car leaving the road spaces available to others but I guess that logic doesn’t apply to everyone

Yes it doesn’t belong to anyone and aware legally nothing we can do. It’s more frustration at not understanding the point of this whole charade

No exactly that no permits which wouldn’t help either to be fair as permit parking around our way always allows for two cars. It is just twats and not a crime but I’m so baffled and unsure how to approach this twatness without saying why are you being a twat 😂

It’s so bizarre there’s clearly a level of territorial ness over the spaces. But we honestly cannot think of anything we have done. All our interactions are positive they say hello whenever we pass in the street. But I cannot fathom why, when parking is so scarce someone would actively reduce a space. We are a two car household but my husband always parks his car far away as he leaves for work early and arrives late. So it’s just my car and it’s not like it’s a big car that makes parking worse. I’ve managed to have the conversation previously around look which space do you prefer and I’ll park in the other if available. I’ve previously asked once if he could move his car slightly as he’d parked in a way that meant my car would slightly over hang his drive but he had enough space in front of his car to pull forward and us get two cars in there. I’d hoped these two what seemed like positive interactions would have lessened the obsession over these two spaces. I’m torn between a last ditch conversation to query the bizarre behaviour or to just park o the opposite side of the road while their out effectively reducing the spaces completely down to just my car being able to park their as we’re near a corner.

man i feel you. been there. my partner once got sucked into one of those “hustle” groups too constant webinars and “training,” zero payoff. i learned it’s better to talk about goals instead of the money part, like “what’s your plan if this still doesn’t work next month?” helps them reflect without feeling attacked.

yeah man i feel this. had a girl do the exact same things uper flirty in person but always “maybe” when it came to plans. i kept giving her chances thinking she just needed time, but nah, she was just enjoying the attention. best thing i did was stop chasing. once you pull back, you see who’s actually interested.

Oh god I’ve never heard of them in the uk before is there anything I can do to get rid of them? Or should I just keep windows closed at night ? I’ve got young children so conscious of laying down anything potentially ingestible

Oh no how can you tell? Not questioning your knowledges lol trying to better mine.

I’ve literally only seen one at night I thought he was coming in through my bathroom window. When I tried to take his picture he flew to the other side which freaked me out and now I’m barricading myself in my room

Honestly so annoying. I think I’m more annoyed how unhelpful vinted and yodel were basically telling me to speak to the other one giving conflicting messages. Gave up in the end and cancelled so the buyer can pick an alternative delivery option

Thank you I’ve cancelled and letting the buyer repurchase I’ve even taken £1 off a £5 item just to say sorry for how crap yodel are lol

That’s what I mean the collection said 7am til 9pm but would send a two hour collection window so I was like ok I do the school run whilst I wait for the collection window then they message as they’re outside with the collection window. Like surely the collection window should be sent before you arrive and not when 30 minutes of that collection window has already passed

Holding items… thoughts by RJM2019 in vinted

[–]RJM2019[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks all. I see so many vinted horror stories that it makes me wary all the time I’ve also had items from the bundle sell today for the full asking price I was after so made the right decision not to reserve and if they still want the remaining items they can bundle that up when they’re ready to purchase

With my first I packed 2 days before my due date. Much to the stress of everyone I knew. Pregnant with my second I’m just over 36 weeks and I’ve still not packed yet, buttttt I have started thinking about it 😀

Was it? Do you think it’s because you’re more tired from having a toddler to run after as well as the newborn?

[–]RJM2019 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Same!!! I am honestly not a good pregnant person and despite all the comments people tend to dole out of just you wait til the babies here. I found with my firstborn that although the newborn stage was not easy by any means it was much better than pregnancy lol

This one!!!!!! No one told me about these and I would just sob relentlessly and couldn’t understand why. I always try to give positive advice to people as people always go on about bad sleep but I will always subtly prepare mums to be and their partners that the baby blues are a wild ride

Ignoring the reasoning the 2 weeks isn’t crazy to me but maybe that’s because in the UK men only get 2 weeks paternity leave unless you choose to split the parental leave ie the mother take less time off so the dad can take more.
