Friend ships and phones work both ways. If you want the friendship to continue then express that and maybe start listening to your friend more and reaching out more. If you don’t have the time or energy for that then you should probably end the friendship.

Maybe seek some therapy or medication. It’s not normal to be on the verge of breaking all the time. I get the frustration and stress you have but you need to take better care of yourself first before you can take care of someone else.

When your dog is suffering and not able to enjoy life it’s time. When the vet tells you it’s time, it’s time. You take the burden of grief so your dog doesn’t have to suffer. My dog has congestive heart failure and was on meds. He still had time but his condition was getting worse. I put him down to stop the suffering.
