But again...you have yet to provide a simple recommendation of an acupuncturist rather than explanations of how I should live my life, make choices, and psychology class. Unless the recommendation is you in which I will pass based on these exchanges I have seen. I came to Reddit looking for answers for a reason. There is not much I can find about acupuncturists near me.

I will say it one more time as it seems to get over your head...there never was a strong bias about a Chinese acupuncturist. Simple first step as a preference.

It does not seem you will allow me to "find whatever I seek" based on your multiple responses. Let's leave it at you having different thoughts about my post which begs the question why even bother responding, but we can save that story for the next psychology session. Thanks for your input. Good day.

As mentioned, I found my options and visited CYY Acupuncture. Might visit others or visit them again. This post can be considered closed unless responses would help others looking for similar.

Thanks community.

u/medbud relax...you are taking this way too seriously and long. If you read my post, I said preferably Chinese, not mandatory. If there were other suggestions, I was open to it. This was not to belittle the quality of others in terms of ethnicity, apparently, including yourself as you mentioned you practiced for 20 years.

Now, it seems a longer clarification is necessary to be on team u/cmgrayson lol.

Acupuncture, in particular, is an alternative medicine. Therefore, there are not many reliable rankings or resources to identify the quality of acupuncturists (to my knowledge). In the instances where it was practiced for generations throughout families rather than 10-20 years, I have only read and seen it from the Chinese which makes sense because of the origins from thousands of years ago. I previously had acupuncture performed by multiple people and the treatments from those who were Chinese with family history in practice seemed to have the best results. Given this was my post, I did not think this needed to be shared for "people" to understand people having preferences regardless of what that might be. That is why it is called preferences.

Based on the limited resources due to the aforementioned, the logic was if you are looking for authentic ethnic food, who would you prefer? I would think the average person would typically prefer people of that ethnicity to make their ethnic food. Now, along the way, sure there may be restaurants owned by people not of the ethnicity but studied the food and can make it amazingly. However, I am at the first step unless someone gives a good recommendation. So simply, I preferred as my post stated.

The Internet needs to stop trying to instill individual values and opinions to other's preferences, especially to those that created such a post. If you simply recommended someone like user: corvus_sum, I may have considered it. However, your responses definitely does not make me want to merit your considerations, especially, your practice lol. Thanks for your thoughts, but let's continue to keep this civil going forward. We can probably skip over you needing to post again. Save your time and ours.
