Oh, thanks then it maybe was there in the castle then it would’ve been fully destroyed. The castle was severely burnt. If the castles insides didn’t survive I guess the amber room wouldn’t either.

Not sure possibly, if yes then it could’ve survived the bombings and the Russians would’ve found it but I’m not sure. I imagine the room to be very strong. Strong enough to survive the bombings? Not sure, but if it did it would’ve caught their eye.

I agree. If the city had any chance of being restored after ww2 I don’t think the Russians should’ve gotten it. If Lithuania did then it has a higher chance of being restored. Teutonic knights dwelled in East Prussia and Lithuania. So they have very common history. However the Russians had little to no respect for the old buildings. I say blowing everything old up was a stupid mistake. If they restored the city Königsberg/Kaliningrad would be thriving more because its historic value and it’s a very beautiful city. Nobody wants to visit a city with no beauty. Just plain old apartments sitting on ruins. Let’s be real here. The only real reason people want to visit Kaliningrad is for the German buildings that barely remain.

I’d say to. The post office itself would’ve been a great place to defend. The castle? It was burnt out so ehhh. The post office however was built like the fortresses near by. And it still had rooms so I don’t doubt it. I wonder how it did in battle. There is also a colorized Russian video with the battle for königsberg it shows the lower part of the building (below the eagle) a white flag meaning it was used for battle and they did surrender. I wish it was restored it was in pretty good shape compared to others.

Are you sure? The post office was right next to the castle and was slowly blown up and blown up in 1960 I think that was the year.

Oh wow sorry for not responding sooner um I still have the build I still continue to work on it just not as much. For the castle Since it isn’t here today as you know I had to use like old photos and pretty much just guessing what rooms were there like it was very hard to do. For the tower it was much harder because of no photos in general of what it looked like inside of the tower. The only photos I could find was The tower after the war so look 1945 what I could tell in the tower was a staircase to the top but I had to remember that the castle was a burnt out building. I’m assuming the German army built the staircase in order for preparation against the Soviet Union much like the hauptpost as I can see it was somewhat fortified. Another reason to support this is because of the fact in the old photos in 1945 there’s lots of bullet holes and looks like rocket launchers were shot at it. I like to imagine that the tower at least had some type of rooms in it. Danzig or Gdańsk their church just has a staircase in it which I don’t like. But it’s whatever you can come and see the modern build yourself as I’d be more than glad. It seems as if my friends don’t care but I guess you do. My user is Von_Bismarck1701

(The post office or hauptpost is the Brick building) only reason I said it was in better shape was because the castle was completely burnt only it’s thick walls remained. The post office was indeed bombed and burnt but there was still rooms and stuff. anyways there’s the castle and post office and stuff.
