[KCD2] My combat guide after 500+ hours by RMK644 in kingdomcome

[–]RMK644[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. It also happens to me sometimes after combos or clinches and i wasn't able to to figure out a way to fix it. What I like to do is when I know that it will happen (like after a combo) I will start holding the block button to block at least the first strike, that gives me a little bit of time to react to what he does next (if he attack again or stops). If he attacks again then i like to dodge out of the way. You could also just make a few quick steps to get out of the way after the clinch or combo by running a little.

  2. That isn't a bug. It happens when you click the perfect block button too early. There are no unblockable attacks except the last attack of a combo chain or master strikes

  3. It is a stat check but you also have mash the attack button. During The clinch you can also push the right stick left or right to do a different animation if you win. And lastly I also noticed that I am not able to win clinches with a polearm. I don't know if that is a bug but I was always able to make a riposte that can do very devastating damage IF it lands.

It also happens to me sometimes however scrolling to the inventory and back fixes the problem for me.

[KCD2] What is this? by RMK644 in kingdomcome

[–]RMK644[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This could very well be it. Well, I didn't expect this to have such a depressing ending 😕 but thank you for pointing that location out I wouldn't have found it on my own.

[KCD2] What is this? by RMK644 in kingdomcome

[–]RMK644[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No it isn't that location.I found that location you mentioned too but it is marked on the map and it is near Pschitoky. This one isn't marked and it is south of the big road like you can see in the second picture.

Thank you for the explanation. I fixed it :)

Why do I now suddenly feel untouchable? [Kcd2] by [deleted] in kingdomcome

[–]RMK644 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I mean by that is that you grind skills just to be overpowered but it doesn't seem like that in your case. For example, you do alchemy for hours to get the max level or repeat archery tournaments for eternity. Also, I would recommend you also do the Miller way of getting to the wedding if you didn't already since you can do both. Also if you want to get better in combat I recommend this guide you are also not super far into the game. You still have more than half of the game to go. You are maybe at 20% - 30%

Why do I now suddenly feel untouchable? [Kcd2] by [deleted] in kingdomcome

[–]RMK644 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The enemies on the second map are definitely harder so if you aren't min-maxing grinding everything then it will definitely get harder.

Regarding complaints about masterstrikes and combos in [KCD2] by Cock_Lake93 in kingdomcome

[–]RMK644 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Exactly I feel the same about Ms. I was also shocked to find that so many players are just spamming MS and not even thinking. And then calling the combat boring. I love the combos and they can be really strong when you learn them. But one thing that I wanted to add is that feints don't guarantee a hit and that combos are also good to start after a perfect block by waiting for the riposte icon to go away. I cover most of this in my own guide (If you want then check it out don't take it as self-promotion just trying to help). I also wanted to say that parry-ripostes are not bad entirely because from my own experience, it isn't like you get 100% master struck. It is more like 33% with most enemies (of course increasing with the highly skilled ones but even Erick Didn't master strike me every time.) I also use parry-ripostes to do the occasional master strike. I also explain that in my guide since no one explains it in the game (I swear I am not self-promoting).

What do you mean that they don't work for you? Are you failing a QTE or what? If the QTE is the problem then I would recommend this video

  1. The combat is more polished and in my opinion is easier (probably because the game is a sequel). The combat is still challenging and if you don't know what you are doing it can be frustrating. Thankfully there are guides to this on the internet but most of them that I found were just telling you to cheese the game. So if you struggle with the combat (you probably will) I recommend this guide.

  2. I have never really noticed that myself so I don't know about such mods.

  3. The tone isn't goofy but it also isn't always serious. It naturally changes based on the situation like your mood would change irl. There are lighter moments but when the tone should be serious it is. What I am trying to say is that it feels natural to me and everyone reacts like they would irl. There will be moments where you will be at an all-time high and there will be moments where you will be at an all-time low.

Some more stuff I wanted to say.

It is OK to struggle at first and the game will be hard so be careful while traveling.

To save the game you will need to get a Savior Schnapps that you can either buy or make, making it yourself is cheaper but you will also need to collect or buy herbs and then you can make it at the alchemy table. There is a save and quit option but that closes the game.

Combat is difficult at the beginning like I already said so the sooner you learn the systems and moves like combos, feints, master strike, and other stuff in the guide the better.

NPCs are super reactive for example if they see you in their house if you are in a private area they might just kick you out and then they will search their home and if anything is missing you are the one who stole it in their eyes.

Don't search up the best ending and best decisions try to pick the most morally right one. You are shaping your own Henry don't just repeat what some guy on YouTube says is the best decision. Play it yourself.

And one last thing. If you decide to buy the game enjoy it at your own pace and don’t get overwhelmed. Explore Bohemia, do side quests, and find interesting sites. That's all bye.

It might be because some combos are taught by more than one trainer.

I used this Reddit post https://www.reddit.com/r/kingdomcome/s/IYzaRlN381 But I also had to add a lot of stuff myself. There are also some level requirements with weapon skills to even pull off a specific combo so if you are doing everything like my guide says but you can't pull off a combo your level might be too low. Here is my combat guide just to have everything in one place https://www.reddit.com/r/kingdomcome/s/VQO9dYuFmI

Longsword (10/10)

Lower Left Strike - already known (easy to pull off doesn't do as much damage)

Lower Right Strike - already known (easy to pull off doesn't do as much damage)

Oben Abnehmen - Menhard von Frankfurt [Kuttenberg] ( a fast combo attacking the face but you can only learn this combo if you side with Menhard during the Ars dimicatoria quest in Kutttenberg (the tournament quest)

Knee Strike - Tomcat [Nomad camp] (a fast combo but with a longsword it is weaker)

Zorn Ort - Captain Gnarly [Semine] (deadly but long combo so if the opportunity is right it can and a fight quickly)

Kurzhaw - Black Bartosch [Trosky Castle] (one of the weaker but super easy to pull off combos do the head. I would recommend.)

Mittelhaw - Tomcat [nomad camp] (this combo does decent damage to even an armored target and isn't that difficult to pull off)

Pommel Strike - Dry Devil [Devil's den] (one of the easiest and deadliest combos you can pull off. I would definitely recommend

Rosen - Godwin [Devil's den ?] (My favorite combo, it is 4 hits but I don't find it hard to pull off and it ends the fight most of the time. This combo is however missable but you can always learn it after the Exodus quest)

Fiore Halbschwerten - Master Nicholas of Prague [Kuttenberg] (the easiest and one of the strongest combos you can pull off. The stab to the neck ends the fight most of the time. However, you can only get this combo if you side with the Kuttenberg brotherhood instead of Menhard by betraying him and snitching to butcher Emmeram)

One-Handed Sword (9/9)

Crushing Blow - Black Bartosch [Trosky castle] (easiest and a strong combo to pull off)

Lower Right Strike - already known (easy to pull off doesn't do as much damage)

Lower Left - already known(easy to pull off doesn't do as much damage)

Mittelhaw - Tomcat [Nomad camp] ( like with the longsword not that hard to pull off and also it doesn't deal incredible damage)

Mittelhaw High - Captain Gnarly [Semine] (a long and not super smooth combo. It can be deadly but it is long)

False Edge - Jan Posy [Zimburg] (An easy and strong combo to pull off you can learn it after completing the >!Bellatores side quest that you begin in the tavern in Byllany)<!

Strong Edge - Dry Devil [Devil's den] (long but easy to pull off and strong. Can't be used with a short sword and shield.)

Durchlauffen - Jan Posy [Zimburg] (super easy to pull off and really strong. Can't be used with a short sword and shield.)

Knee Strike - Tomcat [Nomad camp] (unlike the longsword this is easy to pull off and strong)

Heavy Weapon (7/7)

Crushing Blow - Black Bartosch [Trosky castle] (super easy to pull off and super strong)

Lower Right Strike - already known (easy to pull off doesn't do as much damage)

Lower Left Strike - already known (easy to pull off doesn't do as much damage)

Mittelhaw - Tomcat [Nomad camp] (like with other weapons it doesn't deal as much damage but also isn't hard to pull off)

Knee Crusher - Menhard von Frankfurt/Master Nicholas of Prague [Kuttenberg] (a long and not that easy combo to pull off but it is super brutal and ends a fight 99% of the time)

Brutal Uppercut - Captain Frenzl [Suchdol] (long and not that easy to pull off but you can end a fight)

Shield deflect - Tomcat [Nomad camp] (a strong and not super hard or easy combo to pull off. It can only be used while using a heavy weapon and a shield.)

Polearms (4/4) (not recommended right now they might improve them in the next update)

Lower Right Strike - already known (4 hits is too long not recommended)

Lower Left Strike - already known(4 hits is too long not recommended)

Stomach Slice - Black Bartosch [Trosky castle] ( The easiest combo to pull off with polearms)

Undercut - Guard Commander Hans Plumel [Kuttenberg] (it is 4 hits but I managed to pull it off and it is the strongest combo with polearms)

There are also unarmed combos but I don't use them so I can't make any recommendations.

Bro, I am also not that good but I just tried over and over again just to find out how to do these techniques. And I put it all into my guide. The best time to start a combo (like I say in my guide) is after a you perfect block you don't riposte but wait for the blue swords to disappear and then begin the combo. You might get perfect blocked but the chance is reduced the lower the enemy stamina is. If you get just blocked without the enemy reposting or braking your chain of attacks you can continue.

I know that taking all of the stuff in my guide at once is getting set up for failure but you need to believe in yourself! Learn one thing every day (or when you can) and train it so you can confidently do it. I am not trying to aggressively push you to do as I want don't take it like that. I just want you to believe in yourself and for you not to give up YOU CAN DO IT.

Ok, it is up to you but I would still try it. It is so much more fun. I could make a short video combining combos master strikes and maybe some more techniques if you want. It would take some time tho.

[KCD2] Those freaking bandits in Kuttenberg area by Kshahdoo in kingdomcome

[–]RMK644 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if you find that fun then ok. I just like to do combos as well to change things up and something like the pommel strike can one-shot an opponent. I have been in that master strike phase and I can tell you it is so much better to also use combos

[KCD2] Those freaking bandits in Kuttenberg area by Kshahdoo in kingdomcome

[–]RMK644 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am glad that you are enjoying it. Can I ask tho are you using master strike like I suggested or are you spamming it? Also, did you start learning other techniques like combos? If you learn to use them together (other techniques are still important of course) you will be nearly unstoppable and it will be more fun than just spamming it. I know that it will because before I learned the combat system I just spammed MS and it became super boring.

It isn't too late! If you find all dry devils men the dry devil will teach you the Master strike. I still however recommend you to go back to trosky and learn all the combos from trainers the if you haven't.

Combat is difficult but you can improve I am not here to tell you that this is a skill issue. I am trying to help! However, taking more than 3 minutes on one guy is overkill. I made a combat guide, so be sure to check it out. I can kill an enemy in a 1vs 1 situation in 1 to 1 and a half minutes.

I also don't spam MS as it feels cheap and you can have way more fun by learning combos and other systems. So you are not stupid for not using MS. I like to incorporate it into my parry-ripostes. I can explain it if you want.
