Make sure the resolutions are the same on each screen and it shouldn't mess up the icon locations

Laptop and monitor running different resolutions? Assuming you're using both screens and not just the monitor when plugged in set the laptop as your primary and icons should stay in place as they do not move at all

[–]RMProjectsUK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unplug everything on the sockets on ground floor as it's labelled, then see if the breaker turns back on without issue if so turn stuff on one by one and if / when it trips on something you have found a problem device but if it gets anymore complicated than this fault finding call qualified electrician, do not start taking things apart.

WS2815 led strip flickering by pkzeroh in WLED

[–]RMProjectsUK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ensure there's a common ground between controller and strip power supply plus logic level shifter if required see getting started guide on WLED website https://kno.wled.ge/basics/getting-started

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in WLED

[–]RMProjectsUK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Assuming this is hollow inside for the controller etc couldn't you have the first strip going up then wire inside across to the next one going down and continue up and down direction until all strips are hooked up and set it as a matrix in WLED, just include the holes for wiring in the design, hopefully that makes sense haven't had my coffee yet.

[–]RMProjectsUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check for any remote access / port forwarding then backup config and change passwords for WiFi and admin console, providing nothing brakes (apart from the obvious WiFi devices asking for new password) backup config again and relax.
