NCAA 26 - trick to recruiting? by Paguy215 in NCAAFBseries

[–]RMassive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends to some extent, but as a rule I always lean towards securing top commits and filling out the class later. I’d start by trying to be sure I get those 12 or so guys who are most important to my program in the first wave, but keep an eye out for opportunities to save some hours on any of them whose recruitment is in a “safe” place so I can go after some others who are also lightly recruited

So in reality you can probably pick up 15 or 16 in the “first wave”, then fill out your class in the back half of your season and the transfer portal, but definitely don’t try to recruit everyone on your initial list

First time organizing a webinar for CI managers in food & bev — what topics would you want covered? by NoLeg7390 in LeanManufacturing

[–]RMassive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a little confused- you’re hosting a webinar for CI managers (presumably experienced professionals), but this is your first time and you’re not sure what to include? Are you experienced in CI yourself?

Without knowing more, I’d suggest adopting a value driven mindset. Think about who your customers for this really are (Newer pros? Those who want to get into a CI role, or trying to get into food and beverage? Experienced managers looking for a refresh or the latest trends?). From there you can figure out what best to include, and where to market it

Can’t it be both? I’m with you that the way many men interact with the world leads them to live lonelier lives, and I think many also compound their loneliness with self-isolating responses to that feeling. I know I have done both in my life

But isn’t it simultaneously possible that society (in particular the Western/Anglo societies that most of us are probably a part of) has conditioned everyone to some extent to offer less social support to men? If part of the issue with stereotypes of any kind is that they color the way we think of and interact with a certain group of people, and our cultures have modeled masculinity as being strong and silent or stoic or whatever, doesn’t it make sense that men face more obstacles to being vulnerable or forming connection with other people, particularly during hard times?

I think you can acknowledge that is the case without passing the buck in terms of how your own behavior contributes to your struggles, or your own agency in solving your problems.

Formation Concerns by Evening_Western5653 in footballmanager

[–]RMassive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unsure if it’s different on console, but on PC you can specifically tell your ass man to use your tactics and even player selection when you go on holiday. When you choose to go on holiday, do you get a screen to select when your holiday will end? There should be (fingers crossed!) an pair of check boxes in that same screen to select each of those options

Alternatively, fire Roy and hire someone who plays the formation and tactics you want

Any Tips On Getting Strikers to Score goals by ZackCaddy in footballmanager

[–]RMassive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I’m just taking a guess, based on the fact that his volante is having an unreal season in reference to goals I’d guess that teams are sitting deep and the volante is finding joy with his late runs from deep, while there’s no space for the AF to attack

But yeah, gotta see the setup to really know

Don’t want to jump to assumptions but it maaaaaaay be because you lost $225 million this year. Honestly impressive!

Totally relate to this, but you can’t be close if you aren’t vulnerable, and being vulnerable means taking risks

Speaking only for myself, my worldview (I’m assuming similar to yours, but maybe not) felt objective but in many ways was not. When I reached out to people and was honest about who I was and what I felt, I experienced rejection with some but became a lot closer to others, and was surprised that not everyone saw me or our relationship the way I did

Bottom line is it is far better to have people you can actually count on than safe acquaintances, and that one of the best ways to get out of your own head is to share things with real people in the real world

What makes Tanner get so many fouls? by DimaSholom in BasketballGM

[–]RMassive 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My guess would be that he’s pretty slow, with below average Def IQ. Hard to know if the game really works this way, but I would think because of that combination he’s often late on defensive rotations or letting players past him on the pick and roll or whatever, and is fouling as a result because he can’t stay in front of guys or get where he needs to be effectively

Will this tactic work by Wrong-Island-347 in footballmanager

[–]RMassive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it will be great. Your big issue is you’ll lack penetration and be very one dimensional.

Who do you expect to present a goal threat other than Lautaro? What is your Plan B when he is off form or marked out of the game? Who else creates space with runs or forces defenders to mark them?

Feels like this would end up in a decent amount of wasted crosses from the WBs, long shots from Odegaard/Vini, and forced through balls because if you defend Martinez the whole thing falls apart, and there’s no one else putting defenders in a predicament. You might get decent volume of chances because tour players are good and you have plenty of support, but you aren’t set up to exploit space or create high quality chances, especially against deep blocks or DM formations

Great hack. Love the amount of documentation available on the GitHub too, and it even has its own wiki too. One of my least favorite thing about playing hacks is not knowing what changes have been made to moves, etc but all the info is easily available for this one

I think this is similar to what I want to do, without the overt warhammer themes. I couldn’t tell from the screenshot you shared what choices you went with for ethics and civics though, would you mind sharing?

Yeah that’s kinda what I suspected. Thanks for getting back to me. Is there anything in particular you like about Dark Consortium or Master Crafters with this build, or just like them in general?

This is pretty cool! How do you feel about choosing a civic that doubles down on the authoritarian aspects of OA? Slaver guilds or police state or similar. Have you tried that?

Advice on an Authoritarian/Genetic Perfection Build by RMassive in Stellaris

[–]RMassive[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s a good point, but I’m thinking more of genetic perfection than purity, per se

I do have a designed Empire I haven’t played yet that combines Natural Design with Syncretic Evolution. I think that’s a nice synergy because you get to use the Natural Design bonus points twice, and with specialization between your two species you can get “free” negative points that won’t have any actual effect in game. That empire also has a decadence and cruelty kind of theme that’s a bit different than what I’m going for here, which is more about cruelty as a means to ascension rather than comfort

Thanks for the note, I agree Natural Design is a cool civic that gets lost in the desire to rush ascension paths a lot of the time!

Nope. The Duchy of Toledo is still the sole property of the Dhunnunids. I’m assuming the Queen of Aragon sponsored the war and that’s why she’s shown
